With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, Ellia Sablan-Zebedy is a seasoned professional with a strong background in enrollment management. Over the course of her career, she has spent 15 years in the field of enrollment management specifically outreach and recruitment as well as student success and retention initiatives. We're excited to add her to the WVC family!

CONNECTED// WVC faculty member Junko Bailey taught fundamental tools of Japanese calligraphy during a community workshop at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center.

A zensational weekend of Japanese calligraphy Ink. Brush. Paper. These fundamental tools of Japanese calligraphy were laid out in advance for community residents who showed up for a hands-on class taught by Junko Bailey.

CONNECTED // We were pleased to host US Representative Kim Schrier earlier today, who joined the Coalition for Health Improvement and members of AHEC (Area Health Education Center) who gathered for a meeting on our Wenatchee campus.

GET READY// We are pleased to invite new students and their families to attend Puente to Excellence: New Student and Family Orientation. Attendees may select a morning session to attend on Sept. 5 or 18 on the Wenatchee campus, and Sept. 12 on the Omak campus. These two-week intensive courses focus on basic college readiness skills including college navigation, study skills, and reading, writing and math fundamentals. WELCOME CAROLYN GOOLSBY // We are thrilled to announce Carolyn Goolsby as the dean of Omak campus. Her first day will be Aug. 16.

As the Omak campus dean, Goolsby will oversee operations, finances, and strategic planning. In addition to supporting students, faculty, and staff, she will serve as liaison with the community and oversee partnerships, including those with the Colville Confederated Tribes, the Area Health Education Center, and the Rural Library College Alliance. PLEASE NOTE// Wenatchee Valley College is officially operating on summer hours. All offices will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8-5 and Fridays from 8-noon.These hours do not affect the normal evening and weekend classes that occur during the summer.

TAKE NOTE// Both campuses will be closed on Wednesday as we observe the Juneteenth holiday. We will resume normal operations on Thursday.
