Daniel Pierce will be spending eight weeks of his summer interning with Calvary Baptist Church in Elkins Park, PA. This will give him some great hands-on experience to further his career and goals of becoming a youth pastor, pastor, and ultimately serving the Lord in full time ministry. Many new experiences and opportunities will be faced, including - writing devotions, preaching, leading music, g
Dear friends,
Tomorrow is a special day at Lincoln Park Baptist Church. Daniel will be administering the Lord's Supper for the first time on his own, This will also be the first time Daniel and Lacey have observed the Lord's Supper at Lincoln Park, and the first time Lincoln Park has observed the Lord's Supper, since Covid mandates have begun. Some visitors have stated they would be attending, and Daniel does not want to take this privilege lightly. So please pray for him in preparation, but also pray for the services, and the people present. It is his hope and prayer that God will use this special time to work in the hearts and lives of the people there, that the visitors will follow through as they have claimed, and come to church, and also, if there are people present, who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, that the services would be used to bring them to that saving knowledge. Thank you for being willing to intercede on their behalf.
P.S. After this busy weekend is behind Daniel and Lacey, a new prayer update should be posted.
Praise the Lord. He still saves souls! This morning a young couple found our church online, and between services came "to speak to the pastor". She accepted Christ as her Savior, and is the first person to come to know Christ as her personal Savior, since we have begun ministering here in WA.
Please continue to pray for us to have discernment in how to disciple them and help them grow, but please pray for them, to be faithful to start to come to church, snd grow in their relationship with Christ.
Thank you to those who are continuing to pray for us, snd show us your encouragement and support. We truly are excited about where God has brought us, and are looking forward to the work He will continue to do.
We have made great headway on getting settled in. Many of our boxes are unpacked, pictures are hung up on the wall, and we don't have a pile of dishes in the sink, so that's always a small victory.
We appreciate your prayers as we continue to transition into our ministry life and new routine. Probably one of our biggest struggles, as it is for many in the ministry, is finding time to get everything done. We still have several preliminary responsibilities to fulfill, such as changing over the car title, or getting health and car insurance. We were able to get our IDs taken care of, and as you can see by the picture below, Joshua did very well throughout that process too. This all was a HUGE answer to prayer. We also have our normal responsibilities, such as taking care of the house, spending time with Joshua, preparing Sermons, and growing in our personal relationship with God. Then of course, there are things we want to get done, such as spending time together, making visits, and getting to know the people in the church. All of these things, of course take time and energy, and with a 1 year old and a pregnant wife. Finding time and energy for everything can be taxing. Our new little bundle of joy is healthy and ia doing well! We are over half way through the pregnancy and look forward to meeting her in November. At this point we still have not been able to get into the women's center we were hoping to, but have met with a midwife here, and will probably visit that clinic, until an opening prayerfully comes up there.
Other than that, not too much is new. We had our first church activity with the people last Sunday, since we have been here. Everyone seemed to enjoy ice cream and each ithers fellowship. We are continuing to take it one step at a time, praying that God will use us to grow the church, and reach others in the community for Christ. Until then. We continue to covet your prayers, do our best, snd soak up each and every one of God's amazing blessings to us. He truly has been good to us, over and above all we can ask or think.
As always. Thanks again for interceding on our behalf, ss we continue to serve Him. We look forward to all He will continue to do in and through us in the Wenatchee Vallley for His glory.
This week marks a new chapter in our lives and ministry. We are traveling 2,584 miles, or 41 hrs. to step out by Faith as we follow God's will for our lives. We'll be landing in Wenatchee WA to serve alongside the people of Lincoln Park Baptist Church as their Pastor. As always, we don't know all God will do through this adventure, but are excited to see what the future holds Throughout this endeavor, we have seen God answer prayer and abundantly provide, however we would covet your prayers as we begin this journey, begin to lead the church this Sunday, and strive to be used by God to further eternity, for the good of others and the Glory of God.
Dear friends, recently we have had some weird things going on with the electricity at our house. Currently, we cannot use the washer, dryer, stove, microwave or heater. Our situation by no means is as bad as many others, and we (Lacey and Daniel) are making do with what we have. Thankfully, we (for right now) have hot water, some lights, a Keurig, and lots of blankets, but with a 9 month old baby, and not being able to cook, clean dishes, do laundry, or keep our house warm, it complications things. We do not write this to look for pity....as we said we could be a lot worse off, and are thankful for what we have. But instead are asking for prayer. We Have an electrician coming by tomorrow to look at things, and we are hoping and praying things may be able to get back to "normal" in a somewhat quick and smooth manner, before it gets worse like it has the past couple days. Thanks so much for interceding on our behalf. We know we haven't updated on this page much, but hope to give a little more recent update in the near future.
