Camp 2023-All 1096 new items added to shared album

We had the opportunity to visit the Herreids yesterday to check up on Athanasius ("Athan"). Here he is, in good spirits, and his wonderful old self - perhaps enhanced a bit by some pain meds he still needs. Athan thanks you all for your prayers. For those who don't know, Athan was at camp, where he kicked a soccer ball, fell backwards on the grassy playfield, and sustained a compound fracture. Two days ago, Athan underwent surgery to repair some apparently significant damage. The prognosis is good. I've never heard of a more freakish accident.

Craft Project. All the results were different and interesting. They chose from 21 Saints and sacred symbols.

Camp is coming to a close as we are sent forth from Mass one more time.

There are many ways we tried to communicate our theme "As it is in Heaven" this week. As our campers start to get picked up and head home may they know God loves them and that they have a place in heaven. We will continue to post pictures from the week but thank you so much for following along while we were at camp this week.

We often call on scripture or other Catholic teachings when planning our theme for camp. This year we pulled from today's readings when Jesus is teaching the disciples to pray.

We strive to live out our camp verse: 1 Timothy 4:12

We had a real treat with the visit of a couple of sisters from the Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Church community that resides in Spokane.
