🟢 Maintaining a Healthy Lawn This Summer: 🟡

1️⃣ Water Timing: The best time to water your grass is between 6 and 10 am. This allows the water to soak into the soil before the heat causes It to evaporate and ensures it dries up during the day, reducing the risk of fungus and other diseases.

2️⃣ Frequency and duration: To keep your lawn healthy, it needs about 1-1.5 inches of water per week. Watering for 20 minutes, three times a week, should help you achieve this. For example: Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 8-10 am would keep the lawn looking healthy.

🔹To make sure lawn is absorbing water to the proper depth of 6-8 inches down in the soil, take a long screwdriver and push it into the ground. If it goes down easily then your soil is recieiving sufficient water.

3️⃣ Extreme Heat Precautions: When temperatures exceed 90°F, consider increasing your watering time from 20 to 30 minutes on your scheduled days.

4️⃣ Avoid Overwatering: It’s crucial not to overwater as it can lead to issues like lawn disease and root rot. Overwatering can also waste resources and increase your water bill.
