It's holiday season time! 🎄 Just a quick heads up that our veriMED IPA offices will be closed starting this Friday at 2pm (12/22) and will remain closed until Monday (12/25). Our offices will reopen on Tuesday (12/26). Wishing you all a fantastic holiday season!

As Hurricane Idalia approaches, here are five important ways to ensure your safety:

Stay Informed: Keep track of weather updates and alerts from reliable sources like the National Hurricane Center, local news, and official government channels. Stay informed about the storm's path, intensity, and any evacuation orders.

Create an Emergency Kit: Prepare a well-stocked emergency kit that includes essential items such as non-perishable food, water, medications, flashlights, batteries, a first aid kit, important documents, and personal hygiene items. Make sure the kit can sustain you and your family for several days.

Develop an Evacuation Plan: Familiarize yourself with your area's evacuation routes and shelters. Have a plan in place for where you'll go and how you'll get there if you need to evacuate. Ensure your family members are aware of the plan and practice it.

Secure Your Property: Reinforce windows and doors, or board them up if necessary. Bring in or secure outdoor furniture and objects that could become flying debris.

Stay Indoors and Away from Windows: When the hurricane hits, stay indoors in a secure room away from windows, ideally in an interior space on the lowest floor of your home. Hurricanes can bring strong winds and flying debris that can pose serious risks if you're not properly protected.

Remember, the safety of you and your loved ones is paramount. Always follow the advice and instructions of local authorities and emergency services during a hurricane

Yesterday we attended the Wellcare Medicare AEP Kickoff Event at Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. We had a blast connecting with everyone and learning about the exciting plans for 2024!
