The thinking behind this forecast is pretty straightforward. We don't have low pressure yet, so it doesn't have a "center" for the models to use. Once a center develops, the track becomes relatively easy. If the center forms in a more northerly position, it probably hits Florida. If it starts in a more southerly position, it probably hits the northern Gulf coast. It really boils down to that. We should know exactly where this is by Saturday night or Sunday. Until then, it's just guesswork. Rule #7. You should be getting your plans in order just in case.
