"“Behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. And the Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.” Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord , for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling."
Please join us tomorrow, Sunday, May 19 for our Worship Service at 9am. Can't make it out? Our worship service will also be streamed live on our website (firstbaptistwb.org/watch-live) & YouTube ().
We'll be starting a new sermon series in Zechariah, which is a book that shows God sovereign over the nations and King Jesus coming to bring peace to the nations. The book begins by God graciously calling His people to return to Him – "Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds." (Zechariah 1:4) So this Sunday, we will begin by praising Jesus as King and throughout the service consider God's invitation to come to Him and repent of our sins.
As we prepare to worship our Lord, please take some time to read through the passage below and also be reminded of the worship songs for this Sunday.
Zechariah 1:1-6
"In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, saying, “The Lord was very angry with your fathers. Therefore say to them, Thus declares the Lord of hosts: Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord. Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? So they repented and said, ‘As the Lord of hosts purposed to deal with us for our ways and deeds, so has he dealt with us.’"

This coming Sunday, May 19, we will begin a new study in the book of Zechariah. This book may be unfamiliar to some, but it is a book that shows God sovereign over the nations and King Jesus coming to bring peace to the nations. The book begins by God graciously calling His people to return to Him – "Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds." (Zechariah 1:4) So this Sunday, we will begin by praising Jesus as King and throughout the service consider God's invitation to come to Him and repent of our sins.
We will be taking a short break from our Wednesday night ministries on the night of May 8th. 🟧 There will be NO midweek ministries on May 8th. 🟧 We will pick back up with our midweek ministries on May 15th and continue on through the end of May.
We hope you'll join us this Sunday, May 5 for our Worship Service at 9am. We'll be in James 1:21-25, looking at the change that happens through receiving God's Word. As we prepare to worship our Lord, please take some time to read through the passage below and also be reminded of the worship songs for this Sunday.
James 1:21-25
"Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."

We hope you'll join us this Sunday, April 21 for our Worship Service at 9am. We'll be in Ephesians 2:14-22, looking at the change that happens through the local church. As we prepare to worship our Lord, please take some time to read through the passage below and also be reminded of the worship songs for this Sunday.
Ephesians 2:14-22
"For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit."

James 1:2-5

1 Corinthians 15:1-3
"Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures."
On Wednesday nights, we have been learning a new song that we'll be singing this Sunday - All Praise to Him. If you'd like, you can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-ImfnUqWxg.

Although we celebrate Christ’s resurrection every Sunday, on March 31, we intentionally focus on our only hope — the fact that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. We invite you to attend one or both of our Resurrection services. Our Sunrise Service will be at 7am, and our main Worship Service is at 9am. These two services are different, as one will flow into the next one. You are also invited to join us for an informal breakfast fellowship in our church foyer at 8am (between services).
We are located at 2300 S. Main. St., right next to Meijer and share the driveway with the Kettle Moraine Ice Center. Please contact us for more information. We'd love to see you there!
We will also be streaming the 9am service live on our website (firstbaptistwb.org/watch-live), our main YouTube channel () and our Deaf Ministry YouTube channel ().
We had such an edifying time this past weekend at our Word First Ladies' Conference, where Michelle Lesley- Discipleship for Christian Women shared on the authority, sufficiency, and necessity of the Word.
Please join us this Sunday, March 24 at 9am, as we continue our study on change. We'll be in Galatians 5:16-26, looking at the change that happens through the Spirit. As we prepare to worship our Lord together, please take some time to read through the passage below and also be reminded of the worship songs for this Sunday.
Galatians 5:16-26
"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, or**es, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another."
Our worship service will also be streamed live on our website (firstbaptistwb.org/watch-live) & YouTube ().
We hope you'll be able to join us at 9am this Sunday, March 17, as we worship together and continue our series, How Can I Change? This Sunday, we'll be in Colossians 2:6-15, focusing on the truth that change happens through Christ. As we prepare to worship our Lord together, please take some time to read through the passage below and also be reminded of the worship songs for this Sunday.
Colossians 2:6-15
"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him."
Our worship service will also be streamed live on our website (firstbaptistwb.org/watch-live) & YouTube ().
