People ask me all the time, how do I get my kids back once Child Protective Services (DCFS) removes them. So I decided to create a list which is standard, but not necessarily required in your specific case! Please consult with your Socialworker and counselor for specifics in your case.
1. Accept Responsibility for your actions.
2. Obtain a stable residence
3. Get a Psychiatric Evaluation
4. Get in and continue counseling services
5. Get in and complete Parenting Classes.
6. Submit to random drug testing
7. Attend 3-6 months substances abuse impatient or out patient (if it is drug case).
8. Most importantly don’t fight with family that your child is placed with even if they are in some way to blame. This only makes things worse.
9. Attend all schedule visitations you can’t expect the judge to give you back your kids and you are not involved in their lives.

She started her business with a laptop and $100.00. She would take every weekend and wake up at 3am in the morning to get ready and drive to LA from Antelope Valley to go do Individual sessions and groups for families who lost custody of their children to child protected services. In the process she realized that Truama was the primary reason these people were not getting their children back so she started helping them heal the Trauma in their bodies and doing the work to get their kids back.
