Mary A. Fitzgerald Liard Mueller, age 63, of East Dundee passed away suddenly surrounded by her family on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Mary was born in Evanston, IL. on July 11, 1959, and was the oldest of 5 children born to the late Robert J. & Catherine (nee Madden) Fitzgerald. Mary was a lifelong resident of the area, a 1978 graduate of Dundee Community High School, and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee. Mary was employed by Elgin Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently, Mary was also working part-time as a server at Bleuroot in West Dundee.

Mary is survived by her three children, Sara (Bruce) Stone, Lisa Liard, and Michael Liard; and her three grandchildren, Andrew Liard, Brenden, and Sophia Stone, all of whom she loved and was very proud. Other survivors include her brother, Paul (Cindy) Fitzgerald, her sisters, Jane Fitzgerald, Cathy (Gary) Knapp, and Elizabeth “Beth” Fitzgerald. Mary is also survived by her nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless good and faithful friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Rick S. Mueller on June 16, 2008, and a grandson, Brayden Stone. At Mary’s request, she will be cremated.

Family and friends will gather at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. for Mary’s Funeral Mass. Mary will be inurned privately with her parents at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove. Mary’s family will be receiving friends at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass. Please omit flowers. Masses would be appreciated. Lunch immediately following services at Bleuroot in West Dundee.
