Here is a little update on the bird bath / water fountain. Everything is plumbed and wired and sealed. I need to make up a mount for the top solar panel to power the pump and touch up and clear coat the base. The solar panel will adjustable and I am still planning on adding some lighting.
This is one more of the pieces I would like to show at local nurseries and garden centers. The base and basin are both plasma cut from 11 gauge steel. The base is inlayed with colored resins and looks like stained glass especially when backlit. There is a 12 volt solar panel that will be mounted on the top that puts out 10 amps in full sun which is a little more than the pump requires for operation so as long as the sun is shining the pump should be doing pumping things.
I’m excited to get this clear coated and see what it looks like running. If you happen to have a nursery or garden center or even know anyone interested please feel free to share this with them. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
Hope you like it and I will post some pictures and video when I have it up and running in a couple days.
West Fargo is starting to smell like West Fargo again… iykyk
Any friends on here have a nursery or flower store where I could showcase some of these neat planters and things this season?
Well I got put on a time out for sharing a screen shot so if you can help share some posts and what not I would be very grateful. My posts have been cut by almost 95% of my normal reach.
I really want to start building modular container homes. Like a catalogue where they can be picked and assembled like legos.
Here is a video from last week, turning and drilling some aluminum for a project I am working on.
Must be getting old. I used to think talk radio was insane now all I listen to are science and technology based podcasts.
Some of the leftover plasma negatives laying around. I was cleaning off a bench today and stumbled upon these gems. Thinking about making something with them. Have an awesome Friday!!
I’m looking for some steel pipe. Heavy wall with a minimum of 8” inside diameter. Any ideas? I only need a couple 6” pieces
Only 31 work orders to go. I am going to need more work to come in.
Here is a fun fact: The song “Happy Birthday” is the highest earning single in history.
Well I stopped by Walmart to get a golf ball for that video. Unfortunately they were locked in a glass case and I am not hunting down an employee to unlock merchandise that shouldn’t be locked up. Anyways I will try and get one later.
Trying to set up meetings for a new gear box I designed to replace CV pto shafts wish me luck!!
“ITP lol those fools couldn’t balance a weeble wobble”
My first customer today lol
I am looking for a sales person. Pay is commission based. I am also in need of someone to assist with video and editing for the shop social media pages. Please share this and anyone interested feel free to message me.
I can’t drive 55…
You can tell it’s a cv because of the way it is!!
You may have to open the picture to see all of the designs but I have added a bunch of new stuff in with the old designs. I also have all the materials in to make kits if anyone is interested in doing them at home.
The kit prices will be based on size and each design can be made in various sizes. I will be making them to order for the time being so if you are interested it will take me a day or two to process the order and prep the sign. If I get enough interest, I will stock some premade ones of the more popular designs.
14" = $70
16" = $80
18" = $90
20" = $100
The kits will come with an assortment of dye, powder, and enough resin to complete the frame. The steel frames themselves for those of you who already have your own resin supplies are also available for half of the kit price. For example a 14" metal cutout will cost $35
So I’m trying out some plasma consumables from Amazon at a fraction of the price in town or online. The ones in the picture are old used up hypertherm brand tips. I was looking around and a 5 pack is anywhere from $30-$50 I will leave a link in the comments for a 40 pack for $100 well just shy of 100.
If you would like to buy just the steel frames feel free to message me. I am working on a viable way to make this into a self contained kit currently and will hopefully have that available in the next couple weeks.
Don’t worry they can be fixed. Since the rise in popularity of side by sides these shafts have been a nightmare for atv owners. Shops warranty them all the time because of vibration issues. A lot of them are improperly phased others just look bent. Every now and then you might get a good one but it’s pretty rare. The story I hear most often is “we tried a few at the dealership and this one vibrated the least out of all of them.
If you want it fixed and the problem solved get a hold of me. I can run through the completely shaft and have it spinning along like a dream when you get it back.
We call this one “ol can’t miss” because well for reasons.
So many choices…
It’s not all hot rods and glamour, sometimes you have to do the boring stuff too. Pretty sure this is for some green piece of equipment. John something or other. Anyway should run true again.
