I have to open a new savings account. One I noticed a few banks with some nice offers. Two, I need one that I am not sharing with my wife. Not sure why I did it, but I decided to open a joint savings account with my wife (asawa). I ended up paying the rent with this account. Not sure again, but maybe I was thinking she would pay half. Well as time goes by I always made sure the account had enough money to cover the monthly rent. A few weeks ago I let the balance fall to about 50.00, When I went to add more money for the rent the 50.00 was 20.00. Now this is a savings account, so no one can charge against it. There are no bank fees. Where did the money go? Well when I get back home I said, "Honey the savings account was down. Did you take money (my money I am the only one that makes deposits - I thought). She said, "I took a little out because it belongs to me". I asked, Honey how did it belong to you? She replies, "I signed up for bank to take the change and put it in the savings account, so I know I had at least that much. LOL, You gotta love her, My Pinay

After visiting the Philippines I knew my soul-mate was in one of the 7,641 islands. As a whole Filipinos (Pinay & Pinoy) are extremely hospitable people. They always greet others as Sir, Maam, Kuya (older brother) Ate (older sister). They smile no matter how they feel. Just Very Happy people.

As soon as my wife arrived in the United States, I knew we had to get married within three months to satisfy our 90 day Finance Visa. I felt it was also important for her to get her own credit. Since she was new to the country, she had no credit. The easy way was to get a secured credit card. She choose to use Wells Fargo Bank and opened a savings account.

A few days later we returned to open up a secured card with $1,000.00, which gave her a credit card with a 1,000.00 credit limit. Over the next year she didn't use the card very often If she used it she paid it in full. After 12 months Wells Fargo returned the $1,000.00. YES! I was happy :) I then talked my wife into applying for two more cards, getting another 3,000.00 credit line. With her habits from not having credit before, she still didn't use them often. When she did, she knew to pay them in full on or before the due date. After the second year they increased her first credit card limit up to 3,000.00. YES! I was happy again, but this still doesn't faze her.

Now we are approaching three years with these cards and she still doesn't use them often. GUESS WHAT!! I thought since my cards were maxed out, that I should start using her cards. Well needless to say, that was a HUGE mistake. Although, I paid the minimum due faithfully, every month, her credit dropped. She was a little mad, but I promised to pay the balance off as soon as the income tax return came. All I can say is that I tried, I could only pay about $2,500.00. This was almost half but not enough to help her credit score. I started paying on her cards twice a month, every time I received a pay check. If I made money on the side that went on her credit cards, as well.

Four Months later her cards were paid in full. GUESS WHAT, was next. I opened another credit card in her name. She was mad when the card came in the mail. She took her social security card away from me. LOL! I explained how this card was much better. We will get CASH back. We needed to spend $1,000.00 in three months to get $200.00 back. One thousand dollars didn't take long to spend, of course she helped. Four weeks later, I spent 1,000.00 with her card and it was PAID in FULL.

Today I said, "Honey, did you get the 200.00 yet?" She said, "Yes a few weeks ago." I told her that she owes me $200.00, All of a sudden she can't hear well. She loves this card, because she gets cash back, including my $200.00. BTW:She is now in the 800 Club!

Here is a little bit about me. I have always had the love for making money and how things work. I started learning how to start a business at an extremely young age. I took my fathers lawn mower and pulled it around town looking for customers. I become partners with a class mate and learned that it was tough having a partner. I started a kool-aid stand and learned that business was good but it was seasonal. With that said, I started a sole proprietorship, a partnership and a seasonal business before the age of 12. I even had a savings account and that actually taught us a little bit about banking in elementary school.
As time went by I started many other companies, worked in different fields and helped others with their business
