A wonderful time was had by the 7 Brothers of Council #1672 who attended the Pride in our Priests Banquet last night at South Gate Manor in Freehold. We were fortunate to be able to get a couple of pictures taken with Bishop David M. O'Connell, Monsignor Sam, and Fr. Jim.
On this past Saturday the Brothers of the Freehold Council hit the streets of Freehold and collected donations from passing motorists that will go towards our "Coats for Kids" campaign to purchase winter coats for needy children in the Freehold area. In 4 hours over $4000 was collected for this worthwhile cause. I wish to thank all who donated and all those Brothers who gave a great effort out there on the streets! Another job well done by #1672!!
Our Brother Knight, recent Pro Football HOF'er Joe Klecko, attended our monthly Council meeting on Tuesday evening and spoke to our members about his career in football and his strong Catholic faith. It was a memorable evening for our Council I thank Brother Joe for taking time out of his busy schedule to make it all possible!
This promises to be a great day.

Following our fundraising efforts, Grace Huegel, who will be embarking on her journey to become a Salesian sister, is presented with a check from our Council for $4625. Brother Paul Fournier brought a first degree relic of St. John Bosco, founder of the Salesian sisters, and Deacon Rolf led all of us in a prayer for Grace, who is pictured holding the relic. It was a wonderful way to show our support for her. She is truly a remarkable young woman and I ask that all of you keep her in your prayers.
