Incorporate low key dinners for your kiddos & teens, where you can do mental health check ins, once a week. Also add a once a week game of UNO (or their fav game) during dinner and do the mental health check during that time.

On a cold New England day, hot cocoa can be a great distress tolerance tool. The warmth from the cup on our hands, helps distract our brain from worrisome thoughts & focus on the warmth. Also, putting on some snuggly slippers or a fuzzy blanket also helps too.
