Studies I did last weekend when I took a studio day just for myself. Always loved “building” things and want to incorporate that into my work

Throwback to the completed mural from my previous post

Can be a bit hard on myself when I fall into a creative rut. It often happens when I’ve not been able to work a mural for an extended period of time. Feels as though it’ll never end. Have to consciously remind myself why I do what I do. And that reason is creativity and the high I get when working on murals. It centers me and grounds me as a human on this earth. Think we can all be kinder to ourselves, especially us creative types

Art Memories || Three years ago today I did my first set of videos for This painting was completed in record time (4 hours start to finish, including taping EVERYTHING) while crouched in a position that needless to say wasn’t terribly comfortable. Even though my right leg was numb for a week, it was totally worth it. To be able to share my art through another medium was a dream come true

As vacation starts to come to a close, I can’t wait to get back to some painting when I get home. And I may even paint…wait for it…something just for fun to kick everything off! I know, it’s a pretty wild concept.

Enjoying some vacation time, but ready to get back to the walls as soon as I get back. You know you are doing what you are meant to when you are excited to get back to “work” after a vacation
