The West Monroe Recycling Center is a free drop-off recycling facility behind West Monroe PD office.
Recycling at home is easy! Throw recyclable items in some type of tote or container instead of the trash can. Not only are you keeping items out of the landfill, but you are reducing your household garbage.
To make it convenient for you, the West Monroe Recycling Center is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month.β»οΈ

The Recycling Center will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.
The Boley Elementary Student Council was able to tour the West Monroe Recycling Center this morning to learn about how it operates and the importance of recycling.
School is almost out, but we'd love to have groups visit the recycling center this summer! Call Denise Calhoun at West Monroe City Hall at (318) 396-2600 to schedule a tour.
The West Monroe Recycling Center is a self-sort facility. You can collect all of your recyclables in one bin at home and then sort at the recycling center.
The facility takes plastics #1 and #2, aluminum and tin cans, metals, cardboard and glass. Remember, the center is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon. β»οΈ

We are proud to partner with Keep Louisiana Beautiful and Osprey Initiative as part of Love the Boot Week.
Through their partnerships, recyclable materials from other cities in North Louisiana were collected at cleanup events this week and delivered by Osprey to the West Monroe Recycling Center for sorting.
We were also able to collect a great deal if recyclable materials from Ouachita RiverFest held this weekend in Downtown West Monroe
Thank you to those who attended the festival and chose to recycle. Way to show you Love the Boot!

The Recycling Center will open at Noon on Wednesday, April 10.
The City of West Monroe has announced it has a limited number of sandbags available behind the West Monroe Recycling Center for residents who may need them due to heavy rainfall this week.
These bags are filled with the ground glass that has been recycled here at the facility. Thank you, community, for recycling items that are now able to be put to good use for our neighbors!
These sandbags are available on a first come, first serve basis. This is a self-serve station. No staff will be available to load the sandbags.
Because the bags are filled with ground glass, it is recommended you wear gloves when handling the bags.
On Fri., April 5 & Sat., April 6 bring intact cereal boxes to the Recycling Center!

Take care of our Earth this month and every month by recycling. We're open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 am to 5 pm.
The Recycling Center will be closed Friday, March 29 in observance of Good Friday.
The Recycling Center will re-open on Monday, April 1.

Do you have these items at your house? Don't forget this Saturday is the Household Hazardous Waste event at the Ike Hamilton Expo from 9 am to 1 pm for RESIDENTIAL waste only.
Sone if the items collected at this event will be brought to the Recycling Center. We're glad to be a partner in such a great event that is properly disposing of waste in our community.
