Do you know the difference in hair loss and breakage?

Breakage is usually small pieces of hair, you’ll notice it while brushing your hair. This is usually caused by hair tools (even hair dryers) that are set too high, not conditioning properly and from over processing. Hair around the face is most delicate and that is usually where people usually spend the most time styling it, running the curling/flat iron over it numerous times causing more damage. Taking care of your hair at home helps prevent damage during your chemical services. IT STARTS AT HOME, not the salon!!!

Hair loss is usually long strands of hair, you’ll notice it while shampooing, brushing, running your fingers through it, it’ll be all over your house, car, etc you get the point. This is usually the result of something internally, (low vitamins, extreme weight loss, thyroid issues). Heck sometimes its seasonal. If it’s worrisome or comes on suddenly I’d recommend seeing your Dr.

Not everyone wants to be white platinum. By now you should all know how much I love yellow and golden blondes. So I was thrilled when .drost said she still wanted “yellow” in her hair!! Leaving a little warmth in your blonde actually makes your blonde brighter which seems lighter. Adding ash, dulls the blonde and makes it seem darker. This is why (unless the client specifically wants ash/gray) I prefer to leave a little warmth in my blondes!
