He recently underwent a complex knee reconstruction surgery, and despite the challenges, Aiden faces everything with positivity, maturity, and strength beyond his years. Weāre so proud of you, Aiden!
Dr. Hariharan's 13-year-old patient, Hannah, underwent scoliosis surgery about a year and a half ago to address a substantial curvature that had previously gone undiagnosed. Today, she's thriving and is back on the volleyball court! Her success serves as a reminder of the crucial role early detection and treatment play in managing scoliosis effectively.

This course offers comprehensive exposure to the assessment, planning, surgery, and rehabilitation of patients with conditions such as Congenital Femoral Deficiency (CFD), Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia (CPT), Fibular and Tibial Hemimelia, Congenital Pterygium Knee, Radial Club Hand, and Congenital Dislocation of the Patella.
Participants will have the opportunity to see patients before, during, and after surgical treatment, as well as observe live surgeries demonstrating procedures like SUPERhip, SUPERknee, SUPERankle, SHORDT, X-UNION, and Ulnarization. Dr. Minas' patient, Neville, led an active lifestyle until a knee injury intervened; he also had a previous microfracture, which caused his cartilage to deteriorate further. In January 2024, he underwent MACI surgery alongside a TTO (tibial tubercle osteotomy). Now, three months post-op, Neville has regained full weight-bearing capability and can resume his former activities.
Dr. Feldmanās adorable patient is all smiles! This brave little girl from West Palm Beach, who is facing MPS IV/Morquio Syndrome, continues to radiate joy even after her recent spinal fusion surgery.
Her resilience and positivity are truly inspiring, and weāre honored to support her every step of the way.

Chiara, who has bilateral tibial hemimelia, has successfully undergone reconstruction of both legs and is thriving. Although she was initially hesitant, Chiara now canāt wait to give hugs and high-fives to Drs. Paley and Shannon. Moments like these make the journey so rewarding! š
Meet Jabari, an 18-year-old, recent high school graduate from Columbus, Georgia, who has achieved something truly extraordinaryāearning his private pilotās license at just 17 years old! His story is even more remarkable given the physical challenges heās overcome.
Born with Congenital Femoral Deficiency (CFD), Jabari has undergone over a dozen corrective surgeries, including five limb lengthening procedures with Dr. Paley, starting when he was just two years old. Now, as he nears the end of his journey at the Paley Institute, Jabari continues to soar. He has not only reached new heights in aviation but also excelled academically, becoming a member of the National Honor Society. This fall, heāll be attending college to pursue his dream of becoming a commercial pilot.

Their journey took a transformative turn thanks to the groundbreaking expertise of Dr. Dror Paley in treating Congenital Femoral Deficiency (CFD) and the unwavering trust their families placed in his pioneering care at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute. This powerful partnership between Dr. Paleyās innovative treatments and the athletesā dedication, determination, and resilience has enabled them to overcome their CFD and pursue their Paralympic dreams, refusing to let anything define their story but their own will to succeed.

Filip from Poland, born with CFD, is gearing up for his SUPERhip procedureāthe first step toward his journey to becoming a future Paralympian.
Meet Dr. Quinnanās 26-year-old patient who suffered severe femur and tibia fractures. He came to the Paley Institute with failed hardware and a nonunion fracture of the left femur, which Dr. Quinnan successfully treated with intramedullary nail fixation. It is now healing well.
Dr. Quinnan and his team are now planning surgery to address his right tibia, which needs correction for proper healing and alignment. Our goal is to restore his function and help him achieve a full recovery!

It was also wonderful to see former fellows Monica Nogueira and Richard Luzzi. Dr. Monica Nogueira, from SĆ£o Paulo, has been one of Dr. Paley and his familyās dearest friends from Brazil since her fellowship in 1999.
The reunion was filled with reminiscing about the past and celebrating the strong bonds formed over the years.
