Kevin Carberry BIO

Kevin Carberry, married to his wife of 22 years Jeanne together they have 4 kids – Abigail, Morgan, Tyler and Catie. Kevin and his wife were born and raised on Long Island (Sachem and Bayport), and have just moved back in 2019 after living away for 13 years. Kevin is a member of Sachem’s Class of 1993.
Professionally Kevin is currently working for Kingston Technology - 16-billion-dollar private company as a Senior Enterprise Territory Manager handling the East Coast. He has worked with several major Movie Studio’s, Entertainment theme parks, DNA and Medical Companies for the past 10 years.
Some of Kevin’s personal track and field accomplishments include: Competing in the Pole Vault on the High School and Collegiate Division 1 level. While competing in High School, Kevin held the Suffolk County Record 15’5 ¾” for over 11 Years, and still holds the Sachem High School Indoor Record 14’3’ and the Sachem High School Outdoor Record at 15'5 3/4". He was also 4 time All-County and 3-time NYS Championship Meet Qualifier. Kevin placed 3rd at Indoor States Finals and 2nd at Outdoor States Finals in 1993. In 1993, he also received Suffolk County Coaches Association Outstanding Jumper award.
Kevin continued his career at Northeastern University's Division I Track and Field Program on Scholarship, won American East Conference Championship in 1996, New England Championships in 1998 and competed at the IC4A's at George Mason University. He finished his college career with a personal best of 16’2” making Kevin Northeastern’s #4 all-time outdoor pole vaulter.
His passion for the sport did not end there. He continued to jump and honed his coaching skills working with Jim Henderson (Pole Vault Coach, St. Anthony's High School), Jan Johnson (1972 Olympic Bronze Medalist and owner of Sky Jumpers.) and many others across the country. Those experiences led him to a position as a part of the Legend High School Track and Field Program in Parker, Colorado, where he had the privilege to coach 6 State qualifiers between the Boys and Girls programs (2nd place – two 3rd Places - 4th Place - 5th place and 8th Place). In addition, he ran a Non-Profit Pole Vault Club, which continually had over 50 members. He helped kids travel to and participated in Pole Vault Camps, Clinics, USATF Meets and the Reno Pole Summit. Today, Kevin currently lives in Sayville where he volunteers his time at Sayville High School and coaches his son and daughter in the pole vault as a Parent Volunteer. In his short time coaching at Sayville, Kevin has coached 2 All-County athletes and a State Qualifier. Kevin has also helped Sachem North Vaulters over the past several years.
