"Chasing Failure" – Ryan Leak

I had the opportunity to experience Ryan Leak speak at our company event this past year, and he may be one of the most relatable, humble speakers I have encountered thus far. This prompted me to read one of his best-selling books, "Chasing Failure." Great read – highly recommend.

The book centralizes around on one key aspect: restructuring the concept of failure. As humans, we are disciplined to avoid failing. We fear it. We run from it. In doing so, we often misinterpret chasing our childhood dreams for being unrealistic. This book helped me to understand that in chasing failure, we surpass the fear that limits our potential. We may not arrive at the end goal that we originally dreamed for, but the process and the roadblocks along the way are what make successful people…successful. Do not give up on your dreams.

Wrapping up 2022, I was recognized as the New Financial Representative of the Year for my efforts, onboarding more than 55 clients and impacting more than 100 lives. This was no easy feat, and I owe thanks to the wonderful people that I am surrounded by everyday in the office. The support and encouragement I have experienced from my mentors and peers is incredible, and this would not be possible without their motivation.

As 2023 is underway, I look forward to growing my business and helping others find their own success. I want thank everyone for their support, especially my family, who has been there for me through thick and thin.
