Aptitude Fitness Studio is an amazing place to feel great, be in an amazing community and a kind of accountability you won't get at any other work out place! I got the amazing opportunity to update their business portraits and some fun casual ones.
This is Nikki and Josh the two owners and they are just an amazing team, hard work ethic and just great people! I will share more later in the week!

Not the most fun thing to do or pay for lol but it will lead to lots of answers to some big questions and hopefully positive answers. Meal Train for Smith Family Hey friends & family! Candice is having surgery on Wednesday, August 21st. She is having an Ovoid lesion removal & biopsy. The recovery time is two weeks! Let’s bless the Smith family with meals during this time while Candice needs to get her rest!!

Spring has sprung! I know I don’t post as often as everyone would like but spring is beautiful!
What is your favorite flower!

This amazing woman, raised these amazing three daughters and is an absolutely caring grandmother! She hasn't had photos in twenty years and I was so honored to do these for her and her girls all in the same state. In all my years of photographing people this family and the way they were so patient and kind with each other really has motivated me to share all the good things on here again and not just keeping them to myself!

Remember back in the day they use to have business fairs-what a fun way to meet new people and businesses!

Anyone find themselves :) you all rock but my booth isn't that big to showcase everyone...haha

Back when we had the studio I invested way too much of my personal capitol right back into displays to help my awesome clients pick the way their artwork looked best. 😬 now I can do it mostly digital-thank you digital!!😎
This week I finally clear out the last box as I now do the whole experience on location.
I also have to thank everyone that gave a free will donation because when you are an artist you care and work extra hard either way and it’s so nice to feel appreciated years later🥰!

As a professional photographer I highly recommend having professional photographs taken not only because I am one but because there is something about being behind the camera and reliving those good moments, caring moments and being able to look at them and enjoy that time when it happened. I know photography is not for everyone and everyone has different priorities but this year we made it a point to focus on our family as most did during this really weird time and it was so rewarding to receive the time, care and attention that I feel I give to every client that books a session with my studio even after two decades of doing photographic art from film to print to digital. Thank you for this journey!

We didn’t do our family photos for the over two years. Which doesn’t seem like a long time but as you all know that is my profession and calling -the last two years have been hard for most and for us it was challenging to say the least.
Life is hard. We are choosing to celebrate the good times and go forward.
So when my colleague Kristin moved back to Iowa I knew she would capture my loved ones with care and patience as I treat all of mine🤗.
She sent me a couple as a teaser after the experience and I ugly cried 😂because there is something beautiful about having the perfect and happy moments frozen in time to look at on the wall when “mom life” is challenging to say the least. 🤞
It was so nice to experience this as over the years I have experienced those emotions with all of you when I photographed your families🥰
She was and is professional as always, and even though she is a friend and colleague I never would invest less-thank you for coming back to Iowa. And to all my clients if I am booked your day or time -there is no other professional photographer I recommend higher🥰 myself included for newborn and families. I value her artistic interpretation of my family and I will share the ones I feel like sharing🤣, because just like me she doesn’t post unless her clients say it’s ok! Because Art is very personal.🌹Every artist will give you a different perspective but Kristin Kincade for my family in 2021 you nailed it. Man thet grow fast!! Thank you🤗❤️

A day late or two is just on time🤣it is the thought that counts, and now a mother I totally get it! I hope everyone had a great one and I personally loved the dandelions this year and I will not be spraying my yard for them. This way I can always remember when I see them the amazing memories of blowing those little seeds to make a new bright yellow flower in the spring 🥰🤣Enjoy being a mom even in the hard moments!
