All Hy-Vee Health Infusion Care clinics will be closed May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on May 28 with our normal hours.

The final nurse we’d like to highlight is Alyssa Adamus, MSN, APRN, at Hy-Vee Health Infusion Care’s Chicago location.

Alyssa is a board-certified nurse practitioner committed to providing exceptional patient care to individuals in the community. Born and raised with a passion for helping others, she pursued
a career in nursing at Bradley University and continued to advance her education as a nurse practitioner to expand her scope of practice and impact on patient care.

At Hy-Vee Health Infusion Care, she prioritizes building trusting relationships with patients. She provides excellent patient education to empower individuals to take charge of their health and make informed decisions.

Andi Ivakh, CCRN, MSN, ARNP, at Hy-Vee Health Infusion Care's West Des Moines location is the next nurse to be featured for National Nurses Week.

Andi holds a nurse practitioner degree and has over a decade of medical experience, including working as a clinical instructor at Catholic University and as a cardiovascular surgery nurse practitioner at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. She is dedicated to providing the best care for every patient.

The next nurse showcased for National Nurses Week is Cornie Bautista. She is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at Hy-Vee Health Infusion Care's Chicago location.

Cornie is an adult and gerontology nurse practitioner with expertise in infusion therapies. She has over 25 years of extensive experience in clinical, academic and administrative settings.

Cornie completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing in the Philippines and then earned her master of science in nursing degree from North Park University in Chicago, Illinois. Her credentials include national certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), INCC-certified registered nurse for infusion (CRNI) and Wound Care Specialist certification. Cornie speaks both Filipino and English.

We want to introduce you to some of our dedicated nurses in honor of National Nurses Week!

First is Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Denise Chappelear from Hy-Vee Health’s Infusion Care in West Des Moines, IA.

Denise grew up in Northeast Iowa and attended Allen School of Nursing (a three-year RN Diploma school) in Waterloo, Iowa. After graduation, she worked in various roles, including the operating room, family practice/urgent care, school nursing, occupational health and home infusion.

After two decades of nursing in Des Moines, Denise returned to school for her BSN, MSN, and FNP-C recognitions. To support her family during grad school, Denise worked as a traveling home infusion nurse, eventually leading to her role as clinical leader at Hy-Vee Health Infusion Care.
