Stronger For Longer
After helping my mom lose 45lbs after an emergency heart surgery I had an awakening, and that was my strong desire to help others live longer lives.
When you perform conditioning and weight workouts, do you just pick a random rest time to rest between sets or do you monitor you're heart-rate and let you're heart tell you when you should do you're next set? This is a very smart approach to training. The heart still responds like a skeletal muscle and needs adequate time to recover between sets, and even between workouts. This is especially important if you're a beginner in the start of your fitness journey when your heart is not conditioned to handle a-lot of stress put on it, when a superset of 2 exercises sends you're heart-rate into the red zone(Max heart-rate). Its ok to let the heart rise into the red every once in a while but not very often. It parallels with the concept of training to failure during you're weight training workouts. Following this approach will only allow you to hit a wall in you're training, and potentially cause long term damage to you're heart or weakening of the cardiac muscle. Whats the fix?
