Tesla has begun Cybertruck deliveries in Canada following the completion of its U.S. backlog. In the U.S., Cybertruck deliveries started nearly a year ago, with approximately 40,000 units delivered to date. Tesla recently reported a positive gross margin on the Cybertruck and introduced the non-Foundation Series model priced at $80,000.
Tesla once held around 2 million Cybertruck reservations globally. Now, with 40,000 deliveries over the past year, the U.S. backlog appears cleared, enabling current orders to be delivered within one to two weeks without reservations. This shift has paved the way for Canadian deliveries.
In Canada, only the Foundation Series Cybertruck is available, starting at $137,990 CAD. The higher price point, along with Canada’s smaller market size, may limit demand. Despite taking Canadian reservations in August, Tesla’s configurator now shows immediate availability, with new orders eligible for delivery within the month.
