A matching set of eight Louisa May Alcott books published in 1899-1902 up for auction. These books have green hardcovers with black flowers on the front, and spines decorated in gold. It is going to be hard to part with them! 🥰

Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. (1809-1894) was acclaimed by his peers as one of the best writers of the day. His most famous prose works are the "Breakfast-Table" series, which began with The Autocrat of the Breakfast-Table, and the poem "Old Ironsides".

Today I had the pleasure of meeting another vintage lover who is just discovering the fun of styling her vintage finds with books. She talked about how a home with books just feels different, and I couldn't agree more. Books lend a sense of cozy, grounded, collected. I just can't get enough!

How would you describe what books bring to your home?

These 1936 editions of The New Outline of Knowledge are so fun, in great shape, and feature a variety of topics such as fairy tales, medicine, zoology, and Egypt.

I always forget how welcome a fresh clean slate is after the holiday decor comes down. I cannot wait to put up Christmas decor, and then I also love taking it down and resetting for the new year. One of the benefits of seasons, I guess.

I predict I'll take more color risks in my home for 2024 (I'm excited for the berry trend!), but for now, bright airy neutrals feel like a breath of fresh air.
