Yesterday the VSO’s attended Westborough and Shrewsbury Memorial Day parades and Cermonies. The weather held off and it was a great celebration of our Fallen Brothers and Sisters. More Photos to follow as they come in.

Schedule of Events for Grafton Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony.

The Town of Westborough will celebrate Memorial Day 2024 on May 27th with a full parade starting at 10 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery culminating with a ceremony at the Forbes Memorial Building. Sponsored by the Veterans Services Department and the Veterans Advisory Board, the celebration will feature marching bands, veterans and civic groups, floats, and a series of military vehicles.

Bonnie Rae Ellis, LT USN, a decorated Naval veteran will serve as Grand Marshall for the parade. Representatives of state and town government, clergy from town churches, Westborough Police, Fire, School music groups & National Honor Society, and Boys & Girl Scouts will also participate. All Veterans are invited afterward to a luncheon at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Special VA training for UMass Chan students focuses on improving veterans' care Second-year students in the T.H. Chan School of Medicine are learning about the unique health care needs of military veterans through a new UMass Chan Medical School initiative with the Veterans Affairs clinic on campus.

Free Christmas Tree's this Friday sponsored by the Boston Bruins Foundation and Operation Service. 11:00am-3:00pm at Fort Devens Reserve Base, Ayer Ma.

If a Veteran is in need of a winter coat, hat, gloves and a few other winter supplies, All 4 district offices have buckets provided by our State Representatives and local Police Departments.

The District offices will be closed for the Holiday Beginning 11/23 returning Monday 11/27. I hope everyone enjoys a Happy Thanksgiving ~Jeff

The Shrewsbury Council on Aging will be hositng a Veterans Day Luncheon on Nov 9th at 1:30Pm. Deadline to reserve a spot is Nov 6th. Please call the center to get your spot!

We will begin taking reservations beginning on November 1, 2023. At that time please call the Shrewsbury Council on Aging Department and Senior Center 508-841-8640.

The Northborough Senior Center will be hosting a Veterans Day Luncheon Nov 9th at 11:00am. Please call the center to reserve a seat.
