Congrats on your new home! Now, let's talk insurance. It might seem complicated, but fear not!
Here are 3οΈβ£ key tips to get you started:
1οΈβ£ Start Early: Don't wait until closing! Shop around for quotes 30 days in advance to compare rates and coverage options. Early bird gets the worm (and often lower premiums)!
2οΈβ£ Know Your Coverage: It's not just walls and roof! Understand what's covered (dwelling, belongings, liability) and consider add-ons for valuables or unique risks like pool or flood.
3οΈβ£ Think Replacement Cost, Not Market Value: This ensures you're covered to rebuild, not just the current market price. Saving pennies upfront could cost you big later!
β¨Bonus Tip: Bundle your home and auto insurance for potential discounts! οΈ

ππ¨π₯π₯π’π¬π’π¨π§ ππ¨π―ππ«ππ π: Imagine this: You're cruising along, minding your own business, when BAM! You bump into another car or a rogue shopping cart (we've all been there!). This is where collision coverage steps in, like a superhero saving the day (but without the cape). It helps pay for repairs to your own car, regardless of who's at fault.
Think of it like:
- Getting a new phone screen after an unfortunate drop (ouch!).
- Having a handy friend with tools ready to fix your bike after a minor accident.
ππ’πππ’π₯π’ππ² ππ¨π―ππ«ππ π: Okay, now imagine the same scenario, but you accidentally hit someone else's car or injure someone. Yikes! This is where liability coverage comes in like a responsible adult (no capes here!). It helps pay for their medical bills, car repairs, and other damages you cause.
Think of it like:
- Having a safety net to catch you if you accidentally bump into someone's groceries at the store.
- Getting peace of mind knowing you won't be financially responsible for everything if an accident happens.
π‘ Remember: Both collision and liability coverage are important, but they protect different things. Choose the coverage that fits your needs and driving habits!
So, tell us in the comments! Have you ever had to use collision or liability coverage? Share your experiences (good or bad!) to help others navigate the insurance world. Let's all drive safely and be informed drivers!

Buying a home is thrilling, but insurance options can feel like another language. Let's break down the most common types of home insurance policies (HO-series):
HO-3: The most popular option, covering your dwelling, belongings, and personal liability. Think: fire, theft, accidental damage.
HO-5: The "Cadillac" of policies, offering broader coverage and higher limits, ideal for expensive homes or valuables.
HO-6: Designed for condo owners, covering individual units and shared common areas.
HO-8: Made for manufactured homes, providing similar coverage as traditional policies but tailored for their specific needs.
π‘ Remember: These are just a few! The best policy for you depends on your home, belongings, and budget.
π€ Which HO policy do you think fits your needs the best? (π Be sure to save this post for yourself or to send to a friend who is looking at home insurance!)

Interest rates are climbing, and that actually means larger annuity payouts! Hereβs inflationβs impact on 4 types of annuities:
βοΈ Single Premium Immediate Annuity: If rates are high when you buy an SPIA, you will typically see a higher rate of return.
βοΈ Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuity: Interest rates directly impact MYGAs, since they provide a set interest rate for a specific period of time.
βοΈ Fixed Index Annuity: If you own a fixed index annuity designed for growth, interest rates can have a significant effect. Interest rates will have less impact if you have a fixed index annuity with an income rider.
βοΈ Variable Annuity: Because a variable annuity is directly invested in the market, interest rates can indirectly affect your variable annuity assets.
If youβre not sure which annuity is right for you, Iβm happy to give you step-by-step guidance. Either comment your question or reach out to me β weβll figure out how to make your money work for you together!

πΆ Take the stairs to improve cardiovascular health, greaten your muscular strength, and reduce cholesterol levels.
π₯ Eat nourishing foods. An easy first step? Shoot to add one extra serving of greens to your plate at each meal.

How does saving thousands of dollars in car repairs sound? Weβre here to share some maintenance tips that may do just that! Check them out below:
π§ Check your spare tire - Itβs just as important to keep the backup tire inflated as it is to the four tires under your car. Test the air pressure of your driving tires and spare tire once a month.
π§ Change the oil - Since oil affects many of your carβs functions, oil problems can be costly to fix. Pay as little as $25 to change your oil, and generally do so every 5,000 miles.
π§ Keep the battery clean - If you donβt keep it clean, it could develop a crack or not function properly. Test your battery twice a year and inspect it for corrosion.
π§ Replace the brake pads - Check the brake fluid every time you change the oil. If itβs dark in color, reach out to a mechanic to get your brake fluid changed and see if a new system is needed.
π§ Replace your air filter - Change your air filter every 12 months or 12,000 miles, as using an old air filter can lead to significant β and costly β problems for your air conditioning system.
π§ Get your tires rotated - Rotate your tires every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, and you can extend their lifeβand save yourself $400 to $800 for a brand-new set of four.
Got any car maintenance tips to add to this list? Comment them below! And as always, reach out to our team with any auto insurance questionsβweβre here to help.

Are you curious why rates are raising right now? Even if you have not had a ticket, accident or claim in eons, your bill still increased.
We get that this is super confusing and frustrating! Insurance rates fluctuate just like other commodities (food, oil, clothing, etc.) so you could experience a rate change even when you haven't had an accident or claim.

Here are a few reminders on how to keep your home and neighbors safe on Halloween:
π If youβre putting up decorations, be mindful of extension cords, open flames, or anything that could be hazardous to children who approach your home.
π Donβt use real candles in your pumpkins, and avoid open flames. Battery-operated candles and glow sticks work just as well as the real thing and reduce the risk of a house fire.
π Be mindful of pets on your property. If you have furry friends, they may not be used to large crowds approaching your front door and/or ringing the doorbell.
π Halloween is the fifth biggest holiday for stolen cars, according to the most recent data. If you donβt have a garage, find an area with good visibility to reduce theft or vandalism risk.
