Katerini Soisson attended Westerville North High School and graduated from DACC’s Health Technology program in 2018. She graduated from Mount Carmel College of Nursing with a BSN in 2022. Today, she is a registered nurse in the United States Navy Nurse Corps. She works in the perinatal specialty care unit and takes care of antepartum, postpartum, and gynecology patients, as well as newborns. She is so honored to care for the individuals and families of those that serve our country.
“Health technology helped prepare me for my career in nursing by teaching me about the fundamentals of nursing. Everything I learned from Health tech was built on in nursing school. I walked into my first clinical with confidence because of the foundation I formed in Health technology. Also, I was able to work as a phlebotomist at Nationwide Children’s right out of high school because of the clinical hours I spent doing phlebotomy through Health Tech. Now that I’m working as a registered nurse, I utilize my fundamental nursing skills all the time and it helps ensure good patient care. I am so grateful for my time at DACC.”
For current and future DACC students, Katerini has this advice to share, “Take every opportunity that your program offers! DACC is truly a great learning experience; it can allow you to gain education and skills that you can’t get from a normal high school classroom.”

Our Story
Westerville Tae Kwon Do Club meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Heritage Christian Church in room 230 (the Children's large multi-purpose room). As a matter of Church policy, all persons going to the class must check in at the Church front desk (students, family & friends) and wear a sticker when moving through the church to and from class. Just let them know that you are there for the Tae Kwon Do class and then go up.
Our junior class (White, Yellow, Orange, Green & Blue Belts) meets from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Our senior class (Purple and up) meets from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Both classes are all ages and respective belt ranks together. We break out into different belt groups for working on rank/promotion requirements, but some portion of the time is spent with the whole class together.
We encourage anyone interested in joining to come and try a couple classes. 6:00 PM is the class to come to.
Our requirements for membership are: minimum age 6 years old, students must be able to pay attention and follow instructions in a group setting, and each student, or guardian if they are under 18, must fill out and sign a club membership and liability waver form. We have the membership forms available in class. This is not a contract and students just go month to month for membership fees.
