We could not be more excited to share that we will be performing PRP(Platelet Rich Plasma) treatments for hairloss in men and women as well as for anti-aging to focal wrinkles around the eyes, lips etc... and as an additional treatment combined with microneedling/PRP.

Common areas to treat will be scalp for hairloss as well as face, chest, neck, and dorsal hands.

Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) (age-related hair loss) is a common hair loss disorder caused by genetic and hormonal factors that are characterized by androgen-related progressive thinning of scalp hair in a defined pattern. By the age of 60 years, 45% of men and 35% of women develop AGA. Currently, U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved treatments for AGA include oral finasteride and topical minoxidil. Due to the limited number of effective therapies for AGA, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has become an effective alternative treatment. PRP is an autologous concentration of platelets in plasma with numerous growth factors that contribute to hair regeneration. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is obtained by drawing a sample of your blood and spinning it down to obtain the PRP from your blood sample. PRP has 5 times the concentration of platelets compared to regular blood. PRP contains many growth factors and proteins that help you heal and support collagen synthesis. Results are gradual and take months to reach full effects. PRP can be used for facial, neck, under eye area, and décolletage rejuvenation as well as hairloss.

Stop blood thinners 48 hours in advance of procedure including ibuprofen/motrin, aleve. Do not take aspirin for one week prior to the PRP session. If you take plavix, warfarin/coumadin or other anticoagulant medications for your cardiovascular health, you should not have PRP treatment.

End results vary by patient. They depend on many factors including aggressiveness of treatment, adherence to treatment care regimen, proper nutrition and good general health. PRP treatment is typically performed approximately once per month for a series of 3-4 initial treatments. Maintenance therapy is advised every 6-12 months.

SIde effects are rare and minimal with PRP since it is a product of one’s own body therefore a more natural treatment. Swelling, bruising, or redness are the most common side effects. Infection or pigment changes are possible but rare as well.

Plan on ~60 minute for your appointment due to the complex nature of obtaining and preparing your PRP.
