Beautiful, well-functioning web sites, logos, sales aids and employee communications.
Niels Hansen was happy to design this year's logo for FOH.
What a great morning for the FOH 5K! Just a beautiful day.
Eid Mubarak from Hansen! We wish for joy, abundance, and peace for all Muslims across the world today.
The Hansens had an amazing time watching the eclipse together (shout out to these amazing cookies from Niels' workplace). It was an incredible joy to experience such a once-in-a-lifetime event together!
Happy New Year from Hansen! Wishing you all joy and peace in 2024.
This is a fun exhibit. Go see it!
Niels and Fiona found a new favorite work space at Java Central in Westerville! The coffee and the atmosphere are perfect for a chat and the art on the walls is vibrant and beautiful. We’re so lucky to live and work in a community of such lovely local businesses. We’ll be back!
We at Hansen hope the World finds peace, and that your holidays are filled with love and happiness. ✨⭐️❄️🇵🇸
Happy Hanukkah from Hansen! May your holiday be bright and full of joy.
While it is still Giving Tuesday, the Byron Saunders Foundation recently reached 6,000 families this Thanksgiving and is hoping to expand its charitable impact in 2024 even further. It's never too far from Thanksgiving to support their mission! If you are willing to extend a generous donation to help needy families during the holiday in 2024, your kindness will, as always, be greatly appreciated. Happy Giving Tuesday!
We’re a few days out from distribution! Niels Hansen, along with many other volunteers, has been delivering meals for the Byron Saunders Foundation. There’s still time to donate to help BSF reach as many needy families as possible in Central Ohio! https://www.thebyronsaundersfoundation.org/donate/
Honoring Our Veterans:
Richard Koeninger (1939-2016)
Mary’s dad served in the Vietnam War in military intelligence. He would never talk about it. The things he saw, heard, and experienced stayed with him for the rest of his life, as they have for so many who served. He struggled with PTSD for the rest of his life and came back a changed man. His alias is on the Vietnam Memorial in DC. Like Dave, he learned many a colorful phrase in the service. Unlike Dave, he used them often and for any occasion. He was proud to serve his country.
Happy Veterans' Day! Hansen recognizes another beloved veteran within our family today.
P***e Hansen (1925-2004)
Niels' dad was a Danish army veteran who served after WWII as part of the engineering troops that went into Germany to demolish military installations and camps. He was the communications officer for his squadron. But he rarely talked about his time there and never in any detail.
His service was about cleaning up after evil. It is striking how similar the images coming out of Gaza today are to the images of the Warsaw ghetto and the bombings of European cities then—the indiscriminate killing of civilians in the name of God, country, and manifest destiny.
We hope in P***e's name that people remember to prioritize the lives of regular people above all else and not give into sensationalism or warmongering and instead look towards a future based on peace and justice for everyone.
Today we honor a veteran much loved by Hansen.
David Warnock (1938-2023)
We lost Dave last week at the age of 85. He was Connie’s dad and worked with us here at Hansen as part of the sales team until his retirement in 2006. He was a Navy veteran. He signed up at 17 and spent two years teaching instrument flying at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station near Seattle, Washington. He usually didn’t swear, but he picked up a few choice sailor phrases while there. He would put them to full use when doing plumbing around the house.
If you're participating in Trick or Treat today, we've got some costume ideas lined up for you with 30 Years of Hansen. When we moved to German Village back in 1996, we became the "German Village People" in our newsletter - with a memorable lineup of outfits! Feel free to take inspiration, some of these are certain to provoke a scare!
Had a tremendous time with Maddie and Teddy at Ohio Basset Rescue Fundraising's Bassetfest! They may not have been racing champions (Maddie in particular found herself preoccupied with the sights and sounds at the starting line) but they still won in our hearts. It was a joy to take them to meet all the other delightful Basset Hounds at the festival and support the work of Ohio Basset Rescue. We'll be back next year...with more tricks up our sleeves for racing Bassets!
Happy ! Though Hansen works from both NYC and Westerville, we're united across state lines by our love of coffee. I know here in NYC it's brightening my day through this flooding! Head out to your local coffee chains to celebrate today.
Happy National Pepperoni Pizza Day! We'd like to shout out one of our favorite local places here in Westerville: Cardinal Pizza Westerville Ohio! It's our go-to for pizza nights. We love the authentic NY style crust, copious toppings, and perfectly browned pepperoni cups. What a welcome to Westerville! Try for yourselves and celebrate pepperoni pizza with Cardinal Pizza.
Congratulations to all the dancers at Dancing With Our Columbus Stars and a major shoutout to the winners, Leneé Pazzano and Troy Myers, and their sweep in all major categories! The event was a great success, raising over $100k for the cause of feeding hungry families at Thanksgiving. We cannot thank everyone involved enough for their hard work and generosity in support of this great cause. Wonderful work, everyone, and we hope to see you all again next year!
Happy birthday to our founder and creative director Niels Hansen! We're so proud of all you've achieved thus far and all the hard work you've done this year. Looking forward to the coming year with you at Hansen! Enjoy a joyful birthday with the amazingly talented Brian O'Dell, who celebrates his recent birthday as well!
Madeleine Hansen is turning 2! She is currently in training for the Basset Hound races at Ohio Basset Rescue Fundraising's Basset Fest. We think she might have the right stuff to win!
We were so busy cleaning up after Teddy "Bluepaw" Hansen that we forgot to celebrate National Dog Day on Saturday! He's walking in his father's footsteps, bringing four-pawed creativity all over the studio. Ahem, and by all over, we do mean all over. Happy Belated National Dog Day from the most artsy pair of Bassets we know.
Happy National Book Lovers Day! As we continue to celebrate 30 years of Hansen, we want to celebrate another of our founder Connie Hansen's achievements: self-publishing a book! Code Name Void is a thriller about an invisible assassin whose life turns upside down when she kills the wrong person on an assignment and discovers she is not as hard to track as she thinks. Sadly, it was Connie Hansen's only book. It was an incredible achievement for her and we are so proud! If you're kicking back with your favorite books today, consider adding her book to your list.

Happy National Cookie Day! Hansen has enjoyed a long and loving relationship to cookies over the years. Founder Connie Hansen's decadent cookie recipes were such a hit that she briefly made a business out of them, Constance Cravings, and distributed them throughout Central Ohio with her classic and custom recipes! Highlights include her spicy double chocolate cookies, pine nut oatmeal cookies, and "Almond Sugar Moms" for Mother's Day....

Today marked an oft-forgotten holiday: National Kissing Day! Which was not forgotten for a second by our adoring bassets, and those who receive love from them.
We are excited to celebrate the 4th in our new community and watch the fireworks over the beautiful city of Westerville. It’s been a turbulent time both for us and for this country and today we hope to find some joy in summer fun. We wish everyone a safe and joyful Fourth (and hope everyone reads the instructions on their fireworks before setting them off 😉 ). Happy 4th from Hansen!
Congratulations to Queens Pride on their biggest turnout ever! The crowd for this historic event was estimated around 50,000 people coming out to celebrate Pride in Jackson Heights, with between 10,000-15,000 marching in the parade. What a beautiful celebration of LGBT+ love and life in New York City!
