Meet Geneva our Certified Veterinary Assistant !

Geneva was born and raised in Oxnard Ca, growing up with grandparents they had many bunnies, roosters, cats that had inspired her to work with animals. Geneva obtained her associate’s in science 2021, went to RVT school at Ventura College and graduated December of 2023! She enjoys client interaction and getting to know them as well as their pets. Geneva has 3 pups, Nyx 2yr old Toy Fox Terrier, she’s a momma’s girl and is super smart. Pudgy a 14r old chihuahua who is very mellow and there’s MJ a 5yrold malti poo who is smart and very energetic. Geneva plans on taking her VTNE very soon so that she can officially be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and someday become a Veterinarian. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs, her husband, her Starbuck obsession and listening to music.

🎇 Create a Safe Space: Make sure your pets have a quiet, comfortable place to retreat away from the noise.
🐶 Keep Them Indoors: Fireworks can be frightening for pets. Keep them indoors and secure windows and doors.
🐱 Update ID Tags: Ensure your pets' ID tags and microchip information are up to date, just in case they get scared and run off.
🐾 Avoid Fireworks: Never use fireworks around pets. They can cause severe burns and trauma.
🎆 Watch the BBQ: Be mindful of what your pets eat. Certain foods can be harmful to them.

Meet Kathleen- Our newest addition to the team who's one of our CSRs!
Kathleen grew up in Ventura County then went off to college at CSU Monterey and returned just before the Covid pandemic shut the world down. She has always had a strong sense of protection for animals because they have no voice, but such a vibrant personality. Kathleen is currently going to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and will graduate in 2026! She is very interested in specializing in exotics animal care because she feels they need more protecting. Kathleen grew up with all different type of species like dogs, guinea pigs, frogs, rabbits, hamsters and rats. In her free time, she loves teaching herself new skills like knitting, crocheting and music theory. Kathleen is also a writer and was published when she was in high school. Animals have been a constant in Kathleen life but when the pandemic happened, she didn’t have any pets and she realized how much she missed having furry companions, she had previously volunteered at the animal shelter, and love it so she began to explore a career working with animals. Now she has finished her first year as a vet assistant and she’s looking forward to working with exotics animals.

Faith- One of our wonderful Veterinary Assistants !
Faith was born in San Luis Obispo Ca, moved around a bit in Socal from the ages 0-11 when her mom decided to move to MI. At the age of 21 Faith decided to move back to Ca! Faith wanted to go in the veterinary filed to help everyone in need especially low-income areas. Faith recently transferred to CSULA to finish the rest of her bachelor’s in biology. As an assistant, she works closely with the DVMS helping provide treatments to all patients and she also works closely with the pet parents helping discuss treatment plans and bridging the doctor with the client relationship. Faith has 4 cats, Joker who is her first baby and he is a 6yr old brown tabby who was rescued in Michigan during her freshman year of college. Two years later, she adopted JiJi, her grey tabby kitten who’s about 2yrs old. Joker is a very chunky baby and loves treats while Jiji is very reserved and stand offish at times. Her cuddle time is bedtime. She just adopted the famous Taxi and Griz from Anza! Since she brought them home, they have never been more adventurous and loving (of food). Faith has had a ton of interest and hobbies that phase in and out of her life, she tends to hyper fixate on different things. A few things that have stuck with her throughout her life have been building computers and playing soccer. Both hobbies started when she was at a young age to the point where it’s become almost second nature to her.

Alison is our Inventory Manager and one of our Veterinary Assistants

Alison was born and raised in the Conejo Valley. She’s always been interested in helping animals since she was a child, but her first cat was when she adopted as an adult that got sick and passed away from FIP. While carrying for her sick fur baby, she decided that she wanted to get into veterinary medicine to honor Figaro. Year 2000 is when she officially started in vet med as a Kennel assistant, receptionist, then as a veterinary assistant. 24yrs later, she can’t see herself doing anything else in the world! Alison has two boys who love to play field hockey and play music. As a family, they enjoy going to museums, amusement parks and swimming pools. Alison has three cats, Ravey, Wood and Wanda. Both Ravey and Woody were adopted from a cat café lunge in LA. Wanda was a foster fail that fell in love with Ravey, they sleep together every day. Alison loves to read and do lots of crafts like building miniature and painting. She also loves trying new restaurants.

Val was born and raised in Socal, moved to San Diego to attend UCSD, graduated in 3yrs in biology, moved back to Riverside and move to Camarillo recently to be with her partner. Val has always been around animals and loves it! She enjoys setting up the client’s expectations and breaking down the visit. She originally started as a kennel tech, eventually becoming a Vet assistant and CSR. Val has a chihuahua mix, Nova and has had her before college and is the best dog and friend ever!

Introducing Laura Lincecum, RVT
Laura has always found veterinary medicine to be her calling and has been working in the veterinary field since 2007. Her vast skills are in exotics, emergency care and Fear Free practice, She has a desire to make a positive impact on pets.
Laura loves any bully breed, but her favorites are the pit bulls. Her fur baby is Olive who is a 10yr old pitty, who you might see roaming the hospital from time to time. She hopes to one day be able to foster old pittes from the shelter and spoil them in their final years. Not to mentioned she has experience in emergency and critical care ! We're so excited that Laura has joined our team and bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and to our patients 💗

For those of you that don't know, this is Dr. Andy Anderson!
Dr. Anderson has a love for all pets; however, he holds a special fondness for exotics. In practice, he treats dogs and cats, also fish, small mammals, birds, reptiles, and even invertebrates. After graduating from veterinary college, he discovered that many veterinary patients could benefit from better pain management practices, so he pursued a rigorous five-year program to become certified in veterinary pain management (CVPP). Currently, he is the only veterinarian certified in pain management in the greater Los Angeles area. Dr. Anderson is passionate about improving the quality of life of all animals through the proper management of painful conditions both acute and chronic.
Dr. Anderson also does a verity of surgeries for small and exotic animals and has open availability!
