Our Story

Stewbone is a Baltimore area band comprised of 5 veteran musicians who have come together to interpret the music of the Grateful Dead. All have played for many years in successful local and regional bands (Ivy Mike, Random Abstract, Gypsy Dawg, Section 8, F.T. Blindman, YDOUASK?, Splintered Sunlight, The Jerry Tripsters and more) and have recorded and performed individually and collectively for 30+ years. Every Stewbone show is unique utilizing the individual members’ skills towards a collective improvisational experience that includes everyone present, both the players and the audience.
