As we say goodbye to 2022 and welcome in 2023, we want to take a moment to reflect on all of the memories and growth that our Weston Athletic League family has experienced this past year. 3 REASONS you should sign up for the coming Spring season at WAL:

1. This is an OPEN youth baseball league that caters and welcomes ALL skill levels - This means that you will meet and play with players, ranging from novice to advanced skill levels, and who are as north as Jacksonville and as south as Miami! In simple terms, this is a great opportunity to meet new people, challenge your skills, and have fun!

2. If you're looking for a league that is for recreation and fun, but still want the aspect of competition to improve you skills, this is a perfect opportunity. Players who are registered with Weston Athletic League (WAL) have access to train with one of South Florida's BEST Baseball Coaches, former MLB Pitcher Josias "Manzy" Manzanillo, through the WAL Baseball Academy. Please note, that this training is available ONLY to players registered with WAL.

3. In order to play baseball, you need a field... but we all know how CRAZY South Florida's weather can be and how that can impact playing conditions - In the morning it's beautiful, in the afternoon it's raining, and in the evening your left with humidity and a flooded field. THANKFULLY, we are proud to say that our baseball complex at Weston Regional Park is one of the BEST in Broward county. Our fields hold up very well in the midst of the Florida weather, so unless it's an excessive amount of rain, we should be able to play ball!
