October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This month can be difficult and overwhelming for many. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer for women. Check in with your loved ones and support them by providing meals, rides, and other help. Remember to check in with yourself. Lean on your support system, go to therapy, self-care. By spreading awareness we become aware and informed! 🎀 -South Broward Therapy

It is easy to get tied up in the cycle of self-doubt. Learning to believe in your self does take time. One of the things that we work on with our clients is acknowledging our clients’ strengths that they may not even be aware of. Practice this short and sweet mantra at least once a day and you are sure to sense a change! Step 1. Find a mirror and look yourself in the eye. Step 2. Repeat after me: “I am WORTHY!”

Mental health exists in every system and society and yet we are the only place where this happens. As a mental health professional, one main thing we look out for in assessing harm to self or others is a “means”. Without a “means”…there is no harm…plain and simple. It is extremely frustrating to hear “mental health” being brought up and not the easily accessible “means”.

Motherhood looks different for everyone.
Let’s celebrate the mothers who have lost their child to miscarriage, the mothers who have given birth to their stillborn baby, the mothers who adopted a child, the mothers who have experienced fertility treatment whether successful or not, the mothers who tragically lost their child, the single mothers, the mothers that have experienced labor and delivery, a c-section, a natural birth, those that have taken on the mother role, all the amazing strong and selfless mothers out there.
Take time today to honor the Mother you are and how remarkable and strong you are.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers out there.

Our Story
Hello, my name is Dr. Liana Lorenzo-Echeverri (MT 3815). I am so glad you stopped by! I would like for you to get to know a bit about me so that you may gain a better idea of what type of therapy I do and if you envision us working together towards your goals!
I obtained my Master's and Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University (NSU). I have had the pleasure of working at Counseling and Wellness Center of South Florida in Cooper City since 2016. It is at this private practice where I see clients in a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere.
My goal is to provide a space to be able to have open conversations centered around your goals while working together to identify your strengths and ways of supporting you through what brought you to therapy.
I am passionate about collaboratively working towards your desired future, empowering yourself, while supporting you during this time.
