Our Story
Gianpiero Cangelosi was born in Sicily and spent his early career traveling and experiencing Europe to hone his skills as a restaurateur before eventually coming to the United States of America in the ’80s to share his experience with the American customer base.
Gianpiero and Karen Cangelosi founded Capriccio Ristorante in 1987, in the Plaza that carries the same name, located right on the corner of Sheridan and North University Drive in Pembroke Pines. Starting with just one dining room, a second one quickly became necessary due to its instant success.
Our wonderful cuisine, attentive service, and nightly live music and dancing were just the right combination to win over the hearts of our customers, who we thank for their moral support and the trust they have bestowed upon us throughout the years.
