This week, Sagemont Preparatory Lower Campus students rallied together to raise funds for the American Heart Association through the Kids Heart Challenge. Our lion’s dedication to fundraising not only touched hearts but made a profound impact on the community. Thanks to the remarkable efforts of our students, we’ve successfully contributed to community initiatives, education, research, and improved care for children with special hearts. Together, our lions met their goals, earning a special reward – SLIMING Mrs. Vigna and Coach Sandi! To every participant, donor, and supporter, we extend our deepest gratitude. Our Sagemont Prep lions enjoyed an enriching day of knowledge and discovery during our Annual Lower Campus Career Exploration Day. Career Exploration Day ignites curiosity and inspires students by providing them with a unique opportunity to delve into diverse occupational fields. Cultivating a sustainable future with the Lower Campus Environmental Club! Our lions embarked on an insightful journey with a behind-the-scenes tour at @flamingoroadnursery, gaining hands-on knowledge about the diverse plants destined for our very own Sagemont Prep garden. After personally selecting a wide arrange of plants, they returned to campus with enthusiasm, ready to transform our new garden beds. They look forward to sharing the knowledge they gained with tours of their own with their fellow lions! #onlyatsagemontprep

Congratulations to our Sagemont Prep Summer Conservatory of the Arts students on their outstanding End of Session Showcase! Sagemont Prep’s Summer Conservatory of the Arts consisted of students from 6th through 12th grade. They explored all aspects of the art world through intensive visual and performing arts. Through daily Conservatory Blocks, our budding and experienced artists selected offerings that included Costume Design and Construction, Stage Make-up, Theatre Production and Design, Theatre Writers, Musical Theatre, World Drumming, Piano Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture. Afternoon sessions were designed to provide intensive programming in Arts Portfolio, Theatre Production, and Music Ensemble. #onlyatsagemontprep

Sagemont Prep cheered on the outstanding Class of '23 as they walked both campuses for the last time during our annual Senior Parade. We are very proud of our lions! 🦁

Ms. Vecere’s Sagemont Prep SCUBA club and Marine Science classes teamed up to put their knowledge and dive certifications to good use by participating in a coral restoration dive through the I.CARE organization in Islamorada. They learned all about coral structure and classification, as well as the importance of coral reefs and the threats they are currently facing. They then got to tour the coral nursery to see how these corals are grown on land until they are ready to be planted, and practiced different restoration methods. The divers then got to go down to the reef and replant over 200 baby Elkhorn corals which will eventually grow and help to recolonize the reef. South Florida is one of the only areas in the continental U.S. where you can see a living coral reef, and our students are dedicated to protecting it!
