After a FULL OCTOBER BLITZ of travel and racing – The Saugatuck Junior Rowing Team returns home for the annual SAUGY BOTTOM Regatta! This longstanding tradition wraps up another successful fall season for the SRC Junior Oarsmen and women.
Team seniors spend the fun filled week acting as coaches to the underclassmen. While training for the intrasquad racing, the senior coaches also write sketches, choreography dance numbers and select themed costumes for their teams to perform in. The yearly event is a rite of passage and a special team bond that members of the program remember long after they’ve left the banks of the Saugatuck River.
Parents and friends are invited to enjoy the racing, talent show and post competition celebration this Friday November 1st 2024 at The Saugatuck Rowing Club – 521 Riverside Avenue, Westport, CT 06880
