Light and Lessons, salvation history through the Old Testament. Many thanks to all the talented men, women and children who poured countless hours into bringing this year's Light and Lessons services alive!
Director's Note:
Every year when we prepare the Light and Lessons, we pray and ask the Lord what he would want to emphasize in these familiar stories. This year we chose to focus on Jesus as the Word, present in every story from the beginning. All of these readings have God speaking. Look for the ways we have sought to embody the presence of the Word that creates, guides, imparts, feeds, saves, judges, and resurrects. Our part is simply to hear with responsive hearts of faith. The Apostle John begins his Gospel with, “In the beginning was the Word,” just like the first lesson we dramatize. Look for the light of the Word that weaves through the whole narrative of God’s redemptive story.
