Patient is a young Hispanic male with a chief complaint of a poor bite and his chin sticking out too far. After a physical examination and CAT scan it was determined that his maxilla was retrognathic and his mandible was prognathic.

His surgery included a LeFort I advancement(moved the upper jaw forward) that also brought the base of his nose forward and a mandibular bilateral sagittal split osteotomy(moved the lower jaw back) to bring his mandible significantly back.

Pre and 1 month post facial reconstructive surgery.

50yo male after a chainsaw kicked back and hit him in the face. The blade caused severe lacerations to the upper eyelid, cheek, nose, lips and chin. The blade also went through the bone of the orbit, nose, maxilla and teeth. The bone was repaired with titanium plates and screws. The ala of the nose was reconstructed. The lips were reconstructed. The loose teeth and surrounding bone were splinted. An attempt was made to reconstruct the tear ducts.

The patient was very happy with his appearance. He is wearing a nasal cone to prevent contraction of his left nostril. He does not have any problems with tearing.

Immediate post liquid rhinoplasty. Patient is considering a rhinoplasty in the future but doesn’t have the courage to do it yet and was hoping I could give her some improvement without surgery.

I used Juvederm Ultra Plus XC. It will last up to a year which will give the patient time to consider another liquid rhinoplasty or surgery. Before and after facial reconstructive surgery. Terry was involved in a significant car accident. He was “T boned” by another car. He sustained multiple injuries. The worst was an avulsion of the majority of his left cheek. In order to close the defect and make him a new cheek, a flap had to be created from his remaining cheek and neck. It was freed and rotated forward to fill the defect. After surgery the hole was closed but he had significant scarring. So noticeable his grandson asked why he had a “butt” on his face! So he went back to the operating room for a scar revision. After healing his left side looked so good it made his “normal” right side look bad. So he went back to the operating room a third time for a right side only facelift and necklift! Now he looks much more symmetrical and no one would know he had a very disfiguring accident. 4 weeks post endoscopic brow lift, lower blepharoplasty, and neck lift. The patient is a 28 year old female who had 2 C-sections and didn’t like the appearance of her stomach but didn’t want to go to the operating room or have significant downtime. She had the procedure on Friday and went back to work on Monday.
