Marriage-based adjustment of status in the United States refers to the process by which a non-citizen spouse of a U.S. citizen can obtain a legal permanent resident status or a green card. This process is available to foreign nationals who have entered the U.S. legally with a non-immigrant visa, advanced parole, or 245i recipients.
