Recently, our team awarded Preble Street with a $25,000 donation, which will go to help support their efforts in the fight against hunger, and their Summer Meals program. 🥰

Thanks to the generosity of our customers and team members, the donations made through our Nourishing Neighbors community relief grant program allows us the ability to assist our community partners, like the YMCA Cape Cod, in their continued efforts to help families in need in our communities. Recently, Cassidy from our Orleans, MA store, visited the YMCA Camp Lyndon team for a special $25,000 donation presentation and to thank their team for all they do to help in the fight against hunger! 🥰

We are incredibly thankful for our community partners, like Cornucopia Project, for their commitment in fostering a love for healthy eating and fresh, wholesome ingredients, as well as, with providing healthy, accessible nourishment for the community! 💚 Through our Nourishing Neighbors community relief grant program, we are very proud to have been able to recently award the Cornucopia Project with a $1,500 donation, to help support their continued efforts!

Shaw's has been a wonderful partner over the years, providing ingredients and gift cards to help us teach essential cooking skills to local children. In 2023, our Cooking Club saw tremendous growth with 825 youth participating, learning to prepare nutritious meals with fresh vegetables. 🥗👩‍🍳

On Saturday, 19 riders from the Shaw’s and Star Market Team participated in the Best Buddies Hyannis Port Challenge, which included a 100-mile cycling event. More importantly, we were able to bring awareness and support to a very worthy cause with an amazing mission, Best Buddies International.

Our Community Champions were out in full force at the Carver halfway stop and the Hyannis Port finish line, cheering on and providing refreshments to the cyclists. We proudly presented the Best Buddies organization with a $435,000 check thanks to the support and donations of our customers and team members. 🚴‍♂️ 🥰

For a second year, we teamed up with Boston's right-winger, Jake DeBrusk and 98.5 The Sports Hub, for the Feeding the Puck for Families campaign, to support The Greater Boston Food Bank. Like last season, every time Boston fed the puck for a goal during the playoffs, the Shaw’s & Star Market foundation made a $100 donation, to continue to fight food insecurity in our community! With the end of Boston's season, the donation totaled $50,000, for the second straight year! Recently, Jake DeBrusk joined team members from the Greater Boston Food Bank, 98.5 The Sports Hub, and Shaw's & Star Market, as we celebrated with a special check presentation! 💛🐻🖤

This week #74 from the Boston Bruins , Jake DeBrusk, stopped by GBFB to dedicate the $50,000 he helped to raise this season through the Feeding the Puck for Families program with Shaw's Supermarket and Star Market's Nourishing Neighbors Initiative in partnership with 98.5 The Sports Hub. Every time Jake or his teammates fed the puck to help score a goal this season, The Shaw’s and Star Market Foundation donated $100 to GBFB to help end hunger here. We are so grateful for this partnership and look forward to more assists next season!

This week, Team Members from our stores on Cape Cod volunteered at the Trinity Christian Academy of Cape Cod, for their "Donuts with Grownups" Event. The event welcomed 150 parents and students during morning drop off. Students invited moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas for a mini open house to help bridge the gap between home and school. Welcoming family on campus helps strengthen bonds to better support our youth. We're proud to have played a part in this wonderful community event. 🥰
