👮♀️ Meet Deputy Taylor Barraza! She’s worked for the LA County Sheriff’s Department for 9 years now. Deputy Barraza started as a volunteer on patrol at Norwalk sheriff station. Working there helped her realize she wanted to be a deputy sheriff. After graduating the Academy, some of her assignment’s were Twin Towers Correctional Facility, CEOC (Custody Emergency Operations Center), MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) team at Men's Central Jail, and she’s currently working at LCMC health center. Deputy Barraza has played a crucial role in keeping both inmates and medical staff safe. She loves working side by said with nurses and doctors during her shifts.
Off duty, Deputy Barraza enjoys off-roading with her family and spending time on the farm with her adorable mini cow 🐮.
Her advice for future applicants is to treat people with respect, and respect will be returned—whether it's your peers, supervisors, or the individuals in custody. 💙
