Friends and Family,
Please join the Oaks Fellowship, Wichita KS, in our pursuit to raise money for the displaced brothers and sisters in Goma, DRC (Congo) from the latest eruption of Mount Nyiragongo. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible to contribute to local churches and organization to help feed the citizens of Goma and rebuild their homes, schools, and churches.
Here is a word from Pastor John:
“ Late last week, I got a call from a young woman, Dativa, and her husband, who I baptized in 1996 while in Goma. They called to share the news of Volcano Nyiragongo hours before the natural disaster premiered on the world news.
Dativa shared an excruciating story of a young woman who delivered a baby while fleeing from the volcano’s destruction. This young woman passed shortly after childbirth, leaving her new baby in the care of Dativa.”
There are so many more stories like this. If you feel led, please join us as we raise money to help this newborn infant as well as the other citizens of Goma!

a message from Pastor Esambo Baruhani:
The government, institutions, and other countries say there are important ways to stop COVID-19 such as staying home, being six feet apart from others, wearing masks, and washing your hands.
According to Pastor Esambo, the important thing is to make sure we know what God needs for this pandemic and that we are praying for the needs of God.
these things are:
1. People should be humble and confess their sins.
2. Look for God and return to Him.
3. Be in prayer.
they should know that they cannot do anything themselves - there is one above all and he is: El-Eloah
2 Chronicles 7:12-15
“ the Lord appeared to him at night and said:
“I have heard your prayer and have chosenthis place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”
His is Risen! Hallelujah!! Happy Easter, Oaks Family!
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26
“He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'” Luke 24:6-7
