Back in June, the new and improved Hutchinson Fire Station #1 officially opened for business! This beautiful building was created to replace the previous, outdated and undersized Station #1 building right down the street. Station #1 was relocated to the corner of Main and East 23rd Avenue, which is still on the edge of the Kansas State Fairgrounds. This state-of-art facility will enable the firefighters to better serve the community for many years to come! 🧯🚒👨‍🚒

What a fun project to be a part of! This was a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) addition to the existing Fouse Math and Science Building at Garden City Community College (GCCC) that turned out great! This project had some unique challenges and coordination efforts for electrical due to exiting utility tunnels that run throughout the campus. To read more about this project, check out our website.

Our annual ICE family BBQ and pool party was Saturday. As tradition would have it, it was hot, it was humid, and it even rained for a few minutes, however, everyone had a great time cooling off in the pool and eating all the delicious food!

A little Thursday cool-down with Kona Ice of Central Wichita and Mulvane!!

The perfect afternoon break! 🧊🍧

The new cooling tower is going in at Wilson Elementary School in Hays, Kansas. This cooling tower is a small part of several ongoing HVAC renovation projects for Hays USD 489.

What is a cooling tower you ask? 🤔

A cooling tower is designed to remove heat from a building by spraying water down through the tower and mixing it with the air coming in from the sides of the tower. As the air passes through the water, heat is exchanged and some of the water evaporates thus reducing the water’s temperature. The cooled water is then pumped back into the building for reuse.

Cooling towers provide a cost-efficient and energy efficient operation of systems in need of cooling!
