As the warm weather is starting up this year, we wanted to remind all parents that grass awns are coming back. Grass awns are small sharp plants that grown in tall grass areas, like our Pup-Park. We encourage all owners to check the paws and joints of your pets when they come home. If they are left on the dogs body, the grass awns will burrow into the dogs skin and it requires surgery to remove if not addressed immediately. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
Gunnar didn’t want a bath, just wanted to hang out.

Have a great weekend!
Well friends, the day has finally arrived! I have come to the decision to discontinue taking new clients. I have consistently been booked out about 6 weeks for a year now. In order to keep my current clients on a routine schedule, I HIGHLY recommend always booking your next appointment at the time of pick up. Thank you all for helping me have a thriving business that I LOVE!!!
Happy 4th Everyone!
That’s not normal?
Still taking first timers here at Lost of Love Pet Grooming! Please just keep in mind that this business is small and solely owned, managed, and operated by….. yours truly 🙋♀️
Family is my top priority, but my doggie clients are a close second 💞 I love getting to know and working with every one of your fur babies. currently I am booked out solid through mid July, with regulars scheduled out several months. Established clients, it is best that you get scheduled 1-2 appointments out in order to guarantee no wait!
Prospective dog owners, please be patient, as I look forward to get to know and love on your pet!
Spring and rain are bringing in lots of cuties for baths and BIG haircuts 🌸
Serious frame for a serious goofball
I like your new look, Cooper 😎
Bring your babies inside please
Hey folks, if you think just because your pup has a fur coat, this cold snow won’t bother them, guess again. Just an hour ago, Officer Wheeler saved this Husky with frozen paws. Please, show your pets the same love we show them and bring them inside.
UPDATE: Officers Wheeler and Dessert picked up this Husky and her pal, a darker-colored Husky, from the I-70 offramp to 635 North. The other dog was literally just hanging out, laying in the middle of the off-ramp and this one was lying on the side of the ramp - unable to walk because her paws were so caked in snow and ice.
Officer Dessert coaxed the darker dog into their patrol vehicle while Officer Wheeler picked up this one and carried her to safety. And speaking of safety, we didn't even mention the semi that slide by them during this rescue. So once again, it doesn't matter the breed or how much you dog may "love the snow". it's dangerous out there for them - and for us!
Both pups are now safe at Animal Control.
Here’s some (tardy) Valentines love 💗 🐶
Story time 📕
THIS is why I love grooming from home, and this is why you might consider a home groomer…
Here is Maverick and Khloe and they have both been with me for years (Khloe since a puppy). The first time I groomed Khloe, she had accidents everywhere from nervousness. I mean it did not stop. After then, however, she became the perfect grooming dog. When our family decided to move, unfortunately they had to stop coming to me because I would be over a 30 minute drive away, one way.
After a year and a half I got a voicemail from their owner stating “I hope you’re still grooming because we have been several places and every time we get home from the groomer, Khloe has a seizure. No one is like Charlotte”. I set them an appointment and the first day in the new grooming salon they seemed right at home. I was so happy to love on them and do my job for the pets and their owners.
Here’s the best part
A day or so later I get a phone call around 9pm. “Charlotte, I just wanted you to know that after we came home, Khloe didn’t have a seizure. First time since the last time you groomed her that she was calm after leaving from getting groomed”. 🙌 You can ask my husband, I nearly cried! THAT is the kind of stuff that makes my job worth it and especially grooming from home. I have recognized countless differences in how dogs react to a home grooming environment vs a salon. They are much less stressed, stand more still on the table, act out less, and over all, it’s such a better experience for me, the pet, and the owner.
I LOVE what I do! I’m so thankful that one of my best friends and my husband convinced me to start my grooming business from home ❤️ I do miss working alongside other groomers and learning new techniques, but I keep up with several of my groomer friends. We consistently stay in communication and share tips and questions/answers, and I still continue to educate myself online as well. All this and I can be flexible with my families schedule.
Thank you to everyone who risked coming to a home groomer and supporting my business!
I hope everyone is staying healthy. Keeping busy here in the the Love salon 😘
