Does the other store not have a "trade up" policy for stringed instruments if you started with a smaller size?
Do you feel like you're setting your child up for failure with your garage sale bargain find that constantly needs
repairs, or the instrument you played in school decades ago?
Does the store you are thinking of renting from not have a repair shop and they want you to "trade" for a similar used
instrument if yours needs service? (Ewww....)

We have a gorgeous Saxophone for sale here at our shop:
A 1947 Super Balanced Action Alto Saxophone; serial #33631
*YOUTUBE LINK TO THIS BEAUTY BEING PLAYED IS IN THE COMMENTS BELOW*
*WEBSITE IN THE COMMENTS BELOW*
Acquired by us earlier last year, together with half a dozen vintage saxes from a collector.
Cigar-Cutter Selmer, a good pre-war Balanced Action Selmer tenor, two M6 altos and a few other pieces. All are now in the process of being brought back to life, slowly, a pad at a time.
*** This BA was built for the French market, in original bright silver finish. Please note....no number stamped on the neck tenon. Price includes original cheap French case + a new ProTech.
*** Never dented or dinged, very clean original instrument. ALL pads and corks were new in November..
In 1947, Selmer built 2100 instruments; I'm guessing 2/3 were altos, one-third tenor.
This one's super clean, looks like it's never been played. Keywork still tight, NO wear to the original bright silver plate. Please note the ebonite buttons for key-pearls. Selmer couldn't get mother of pearl during the war years or just after. The buttons are original, never replaced, no wear showing the edges of the pearl-cups.
Original "Table C / Stentor" Selmer-Paris mouthpiece.
Intonation is perfect. The low notes are NOT sharp.
Superb intonation means low notes are NOT a quarter-step sharp. Use a VanDoren 2 1/3 or 3 on a modern Selmer mouthpiece and you'll be amazed at the warm and liquid tone-color.
We have no hesitation in recommending it to the most particular musician.
*** Better than a new one? In OUR opinion, ABSOLUTELY!
Available to ship immediately! Or come into our shop to give this beauty a try!

We have a BRAND NEW and unique French Horn by Gebr. Alexander for sale here at Wichita Band:
Alexander 103ML Double Horn with Soldered Seamed Fixed Bell!
BRAND NEW & PERFECT ALEXANDER 103ML DOUBLE HORN.
*****UPDATE: This Horn has been sold. Contact us if you would like to purchase one and we can place the order for you :). *********
*WEBSITE IN THE COMMENTS BELOW*
It's Alexander's very successful "traditional" double horn that's been in production for many decades. Founded in 1782 and located in Mainz, Germany; Alexander produces some of the world's finest French horns.
The model 103 is the choice of the horn section of the Berlin Philharmonic and many of the finest players in Germany and the USA. This one is the "ML" model with a soldered seamed one piece fixed bell. This bell option is more the "traditional" style from Alexander which is made with more hand-work and hammering.
The horn is new and perfect, and comes with full complement of the original Alexander accessories. The horn is in yellow brass with a fixed bell and lacquer finish
Note about the Soldered Seamed Fixed Bell:
Alexander horns may be had with an optional seamed bell flare, which is made with more hand work and hammering. The hand hammered flare has a more consistent metal thickness. The bell can be made thinner for resonance, but is still thick enough at the screw fitting for durability. The extra hand work required hardens the metal for improved response and projection. That being said, the standard bell is very good, and is less expensive. The difference is the standard bell is made from a disc of sheet brass. The seamed flare is made from a piece of sheet brass more like a letter C, then the ends are closed and soldered, thus the seamed flare begins as a cone shape so its metal thickness remains closer to optimum throughout fabrication.
*** NOTE PLEASE: THIS HORN IS PRICED WITHOUT CASE. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR CASE OPTIONS. THANKS!

We have this beautiful and rare horn for sale at our shop: A Brand New Alexander 107-X Double Descant Horn in Bb/High F!
*WEBSITE IN THE COMMENTS BELOW*
The Alexander Bb/High F Model 107X is based on the innovative design of the Model 301 triple horn which was introduced with great success in 2003. According to Alexander : "Model 107X is the result of a goal we defined: To construct a descant horn that provides articulation and tone similar to that of a F/Bb double horn."
The elimination of the tuning bit in the mouthpiece receiver and the launch of separate leadpipes and bell branches allows independent tuning of each side of the horn. The articulation and sound of the high F horn is also more homogeneous. The long leadpipe gives the Bb horn a fuller sound. The Model 107X also allows to add an F extension to the A valve in order to play the natural harmonics of the low F horn.
With this instrument Gebr. Alexander gives horn players a new tool that makes the change from a full double horn to the descant horn a comfortable one.

There is a phony page out there (see photo) calling themselves "Wichita band instruments" and posting instruments on Facebook marketplace and groups. We've had quite a few calls already, and already more than a few people have paid cash or another method of non-refundable payment to the fake seller. These are our real pages www.facebook.com/wichitabandinstrument www.facebook.com/E.M.ShortsGuitars and www.facebook.com/wichitaviolin, and you can also see our web site at www.wichitaband.com, our Ebay site at www.ebay.com/str/wichitabandinstrumentcompany, and our Reverb site at reverb.com/shop/wichitabandinstrumentco. I'm Jon Ray, the manager at Wichita Band Instrument Co, and I've been here since 1989 and my father has been the owner of Wichita Band Instrument Co., Inc. since 1963. Also, it might be worth noting that since 2019, Ebay, Reverb and Amazon have been adding sales tax for most states. We're a small family owned business and we're not obligated to charge sales tax on instruments that we sell through our web site or through us directly. And we're always ready to deal on price and can often offer a better price than is listed on Ebay and Reverb because Ebay/Reverb fees and manufacturers minimum advertised price guidelines.
