..you're so not alone today, on : the battle's hard... but here's the secret to winning: "Stay alert, with your *eyes. wide. open. in. gratitude.*" Colossians 4:2 MSG

No matter what's coming hard these days, the thing is:
No amount of regret changes the past,
No amount of anxiety changes the future,
And *any amount of gratitude changes the present.*

Any amount of gratitude changes the present & wins back some ground — even for one very small thing.

So that's what we're doing here today: simply being grateful for that one small thing... & one more small thing... & one more small thing -- just taking back ground one grateful step at a time till the battle is WON.

*Gratitude wins our wars.*
Because gratitude isn't only a celebration when good things happen; Gratitude's a declaration that God is good *no matter what happens.*

By simply *breathing,* breath after breath, EVERYONE gives glory to the Creator and Sustainer of Life (whether they acknowledge it or not).

Fascinating Read Ahead:
“There was a moment when Moses asked God what His name is. God graciously answered, and the name He gave is recorded in the original Hebrew as YHWH.
Over time we arbitrarily added an “a” and an “e” to spell YaHWeH” (presumably, we prefer words which contain vowels).
But scholars and rabbis have noted that the letters YHWH represent breathing sounds, or aspirated consonants. When pronounced without intervening vowels, it actually sounds like breathing:
YH (inhale): WH (exhale).
So a baby’s first cry, the first breath, speaks the name of God.
A deep sigh calls His name as does a groan or gasp that is too heavy for mere words.
Even an atheist speaks His name, unaware that their very breath gives constant acknowledgment to God.
Likewise, a person leaves this earth with their last breath when God’s name no longer fills their lungs.
So, when I cannot utter anything else, does my silent cry call out His name?
In being alive, I speak His name constantly. So, does He hear it loud and clear when no one else can?
In sadness, we breathe heavy sighs.
In joy, our lungs feel almost like they will burst.
In fear we are told to breathe slowly to help us calm down.
When we’re about to do something difficult, we take a deep breath to find our courage.
When I think about it, the very act of breathing is giving God praise. Even in the hardest moments, unknowingly, I am praising Him.
This is so beautiful and fills me with emotion every time I grasp these thoughts. God chose to give Himself a name that we can’t help but speak every moment we’re alive. Even unknowingly, we proclaim Him in our very existence.
All of us, always, everywhere are waking or sleeping, and breathing, with the name of God on our lips. All glory and praise belongs to Him!
