HELP,HELP, the One Spark Foundation needs your help to continue to operate their pantry.
One Spark Foundation not only helps individuals but also provides food, clothing, furniture, and other items to other groups and charities. Their pantry is low, and the demand for help has never been higher.
We were put on this earth to help who we can, where we can, and as often as possible.
What does the One Spark Foundation need? I am glad you asked me. Everything and anything a family would need to feed their family breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
THERE IS A HUGE MISCONCEPTION. IF YOU HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE YOU HAVE FOOD. THAT IS A LOAD OF PANTHER P**S. People are going backwards each month, and that is where the One Spark Foundation steps in to help as many people as possible.

The 1 Spark Foundation | Giving Back Our BeginningLife is strange; you never know where you are going or how you are going to get there, then one day you look back and you’ve been walking the entire time. You find yourself somewhere completely different than where you thought you were going or where you thought you would be. Read Dav...
The enemy we are fighting is not on the left, the right, white, black, Hispanic, or anything else. We want to blame the orange man, Biden, the Senate, the House, or our local government. But our enemy is much more dangerous, cunning, greedy, and ruthless!
We have been warned about this enemy for thousands of years, but it paid no mind to what was happening around us. Yes, the enemy that I'm talking about is the devil! He is roaming this earth looking for souls to steal and how to wipe out the greatest nation that was founded on God's principles.
If you want to make the Democrats the bad guys, you can, but they are not who you should concern yourself with. You can blame the Republicans for all the tax cuts and all the crazy things that are going on, but remember, we must get to the root of the problem, and that is good versus evil, God versus the devil.
We need to make sure that we're posting the true nature of the fight that we're in because if we fail to do that, many people are going to lose their lives and face eternity in hell!
I can hear it now: What if I don't believe in God? I have a question: What if I don't believe in gravity and jump off the 130-story building? What is going to happen to me? You see, there is a set of laws that we cannot change, and gravity is one of them. Even if we don't believe in it, I surely will plummet to my death if I choose to jump off that 130-story building.
Let's spend less time fighting each other and more time fighting the devil and all the sinister things that he's trying to do because he knows what's going to happen to him in the end. We need to spend less time fighting with each other and more time in the word of God so that we will not be led astray in the end times.
Love will Conquer all hate! So today, let's walk in love and kindness, forget about politics for a minute, and just remember that we're all children of God!

I wouldn't say I like posting Sparks about me because I feel that what I do is what anyone would do.
I have been asked to post this, and I am doing that for you.

My name is Alicia, and I have a spark to share with you.
Before I tell you about my spark, I have to go back 8 years ago. I'm from a small town in the Midwest.
I grew up in what I thought was a fantastic home. My father was a pastor of a large church, and my mother was the church's secretary. My father had been preaching since I was born. I am the oldest of four children.
My father always told us to never embarrass me in public. I never set out to do that, but unfortunately, in my sophomore year, I met a boy. We started dating, and one thing led to another. We were only together one time, and that was enough because I became pregnant.
When I went home to tell my parents, they were less than happy. My father asked what is the town gonna think of the pastor's daughter being pregnant.
It was never said that I felt like they both wanted me to get rid of my baby, and that was not going to happen, so at the age of 15, I left home and moved to the big city of Wichita, KS. This is where I met Dave, the janitor or custodian of One Spark, as he calls it. I was living on the streets and had no money, nothing to eat, and no ability to care for the baby that was in my stomach.
They've got me to a free clinic and the pregnancy crisis center, and boy, oh boy, are they unique. I got a sonogram, and I got to see my baby, and I knew then I would never give up my baby.
Dave promised to help me and my unborn child. He enrolled me in school, got me an apartment, and helped me graduate from high school.
I had a beautiful, healthy, and full-of-life baby boy. I could not think of a better way to thank Dave than to name my baby David Lee.
Dave did not stop helping after I graduated from high school or even after I had my baby. He helped me get into college and also helped pay for college. I studied hard, got my bachelor’s degree in three years, and got my law degree within five years.
Davis is a man who does not want anybody to know what he does or who he does it for, but I could no longer keep my mouth shut. I had to stand on a mountain top and scream about what he had done for me and my son.
I met a guy while in college, and we got married in my junior year of college. I now have four children, and I'm married to the love of my life. None of this would have been possible without David's help and continued love for me and my son.
My husband is in the military, so we moved quickly and are now stationed overseas. My son just turned nine years old, and it hit me that I had never told anyone what a fantastic man Dave is and how big of a heart he has for the world.
Dave, it breaks my heart when you say you never had kids because I am your daughter, and your grandson loves you with all his heart. He thinks you are a superhero; to me, you are that and much more.
I love you more than all the fish in the sea. You, my friend, are what the world needs more of, and I strive to be like you every day.
Love your daughter Alicia.
P.S., please post this spark you gave me so the world can know what I know about you.
Today was like any other day that I was grateful to be blessed with!
I often tell people that I love life and always want more of it! There are days that I fell like I have nothing left to give and my tank is on empty!
Some days with all the requests for help I felt like a tiny piece of cake that thousands of people wanna bite of and I know that is impossible to do but I continue to help everyone I can, where ever I can, and as often as the good Lord will allow!
Today someone reached out to me that I helped over 10 years ago to tell me how they were doing!
They said the reason they called was God told them to charge my battery by explaining how the help I gave them change their life!
Renewed my energy and gave me hope and will to fight and live another day.
If someone has touch your life, or impacted it in a positive way please reach out and let them know because you have no clue how much giving sucks to life out of you, and your call may be just what they need to charge their batteries!

Happy Daddy's Day to all the awesome daddy's out there.
I have said that anyone can father a child, but only great men can be daddies.
This daddy's day will be the best for each of you.
Good morning to everyone. On this day, I was born, and if the good Lord grants me another year of life, I will improve in spreading love.
Every day, you rise and wipe the sleep from your eyes; take the time to count your blessings. I am counting mine, acknowledging that you make the world much better because the good Lord put you in it.
I hope that today will be the best day of your entire life. I pray that tomorrow will be even better.
Here is a great big hug, and I pray it warms your heart, puts a smile on your face, and lets you know that you are truly loved.
Today, I am another year older, and as I reflect on how I did last year with spreading love, I have to give myself a score of 2 out of 10. That leaves me with a lot of improvement to do.
Please take the time to grade yourself in areas like being kind, loving your family, and loving the people in your life. Because it will be too late when you reach the end of your life and have regrets.

Update on Shawn
We have been working with several places to test Shawn and we now know he has ADAD, and he is Dyslexic.
I am enrolling in classes at the Fundamental Learning Center in July to learn how to teach Shawn.
I will be requesting an individualized education program. An IEP lays out the services and supports tailored to help a specific student with disabilities meet grade-level expectations.
I will be the voice for Shawn, and I am willing to do whatever I have to ensure he gets the quality education he deserves.
I think someone should have noticed that Shawn was displaying classic signs of Dyslexia and then moved to get him specialized help.
Shawn is a very bright kid with difficulty learning because of his disability.
Please keep Shawn in your prayers and say one or two for me as we navigate the muddy waters of getting him help to be the best he can be.
Shawn and I have a special bond probably because we both are dyslexic and I guess I get to live a childhood I never had with him.

Food for thought!
Shawn is doing better and he will be posting a video to all that sent him a Birthday card or present.
I want to tell each and everyone of you that took time out of your day and spent money sending Shawn a gift. He was so blown away that for the first time in a long time he felt loved.
Each day we walk on this earth we are in a battle for good and evil in our lives. Those that answered the call from Jesus to reach out to Shawn, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Here is something I ran across today and thought that you might like reading it.

Is there really a battle between good and evil?
By Jeff Struecker
I struggle with some passages in the Bible. Sometimes I struggle understanding. Sometimes I struggle with the implications of what I’m reading. I came across one of those passages in Luke 11:18-23Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) where Jesus describes what sounds like a battle between him and Satan. Theologically, this causes me some problems.
The war has been already decided but a few battles remain
How can there be a war between the created and the Creator? Let me explain what I mean… Satan is an angel who rebelled against God. Angels were created by God. Therefore, Satan was created by God. After Satan rebelled God kicked him out of Heaven.
The Bible makes it very clear. Jesus is God. Jesus was involved and active in the creation of the heavens and the earth. Therefore, Jesus created Satan. So let me ask the question again, how can there be a war between the created (Satan) and the Creator (Jesus)?
Here’s a possible answer to that question. Perhaps God is allowing battles to rage for a war that has already been decided. In other words, if God is absolutely sovereign, even sovereign over Satan, then there really isn’t a war at all. God is simply allowing Satan freedom to terrorize for a specific period of time. At some point God will give Satan the punishment that he deserves… namely Hell. I think Jesus hints to this in Luke 11:18Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) when he refers to Satan’s kingdom.
Your heart is the battleground
Jesus does make it clear that there is a struggle going on in this passage. He uses attack and defense language in Luke 11:22-23Open in Logos Bible Software (if available). I don’t want you to minimize the danger that Satan poses. He is a very real adversary. He will destroy your life if possible (1 Peter 5:8Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)).
Your heart is the battleground! Every day your heart is being pulled away from God by many things. The entertainment industry is shouting for your attention. Sports teams are playing for your attention. Even work, finances or family can garner all of your attention, if you’re not careful. Where does this leave God? These are just a few examples of the very real fight for your heart’s attention.
Your heart is the battleground. Jesus wants all of your heart’s attention. He will not share your attention with anyone or anything else. Jesus wants to be the object of your focus because there is nothing more glorious for your heart to dwell on than Jesus. The heart is the battleground because whoever gains the heart also inherits your soul. Be careful what has your heart’s desire — wherever the heart goes the soul will surely follow.
You must pick a team
The battleground of the heart is the backdrop for the final statement Jesus makes in Luke 11:23Open in Logos Bible Software (if available). In this simple statement, Jesus puts everyone to the test. You are either on his team… or you are on Satan’s team. There is no middle ground!
Maybe you’re thinking I’ve never really chosen a team, I still have time to choose, correct? Wrong. Jesus is saying that choosing not to choose is making a choice. Notice the wording Jesus uses — whoever is not with me is against me. This means any heart that is not intentionally focused on Jesus is against Jesus. The statement does not say you chose Satan against Jesus. It says that allowing your heart to be focused on anything other than Jesus, is to pick the other team. What about you? Is sports the center of your world? Does the entertainment industry have all of your attention? Are you totally focused on making money and earning a living? If so, whether you know it or not, you’ve picked a team — and according to Jesus, you’ve picked the wrong team.
Here’s how you can make sure you’re on the right team when Jesus returns again: Admit your heart is sinful. Ask Jesus to change your heart so that you will treasure him above everything else. Surrender the battle to him. Pray something like this: Jesus, I admit that my heart is sinful. I recognize I can’t change my own heart. I’m asking you to change my heart for me. I believe that your death on the cross paid the penalty for my sin. I believe that you rose again so that I can have eternal life. I surrender my heart and soul to you. I ask you to change me from the inside out. Amen.
If you’ve prayed that prayer, we want to hear from you. Email us at [email protected] and we’ll help you get connected to a good church in your local area.
Today Shawn’s mom went to heaven! Please keep him in your prayers!
We are donating her organs!
Shawn said thank you for all the birthday wishes. It made him smile and that is a good thing.
Today is Shawn's birthday and he told me no one cares about him.
We all know that is not true. Could I get a favor from everyone that reads this message? Please send him a birthday card.
Could you send it to 725 East 10th St. North? Wichita KS 67214
Please keep Shawn in your prayers his mother will be taken off life support tomorrow!
Update on Shawn
Shawn will do good for a few days and then be in trouble at school or home.
Working very hard to get through to him but he has a I don’t give a Shi$ attitude.
I have taken all of his stuff out of his room and thought that he would understand the consequences of his actions, but he was right back at it again. He will lie even when you already know the truth.
I have spent almost 200 dollars on his haircuts and products, and he loves his hair the way he finally got it. I told him that if he got kicked out of school or even just one class, his head would be shaved.
Yesterday he got kicked out of class for talking back to his teacher. I was going to do what we had set as the punishment. I could not bring myself to do it and today when I shaved his head, I think it bothered me more than it bothered him.
I wish there was a manual on what to do for lying, for stealing, and for all other discipline problems. The stuff is hard and why do I feel bad when he has to be punished.
I am going to stick to this because if I do not, he will be in jail or dead with his actions and attitude.
After he is punished, we sit and talk about why he was punished, then about what he should have done to prevent being punished, and then I tell him I love him and hope and pray he makes better choices tomorrow.
I feel like I am the bad person in all of this.
Thank you for reading the ramblings of what seems to be a crazy person!
Love David A2J
P.S. and advice is welcomed!
Good Morning my friends and yes it is an awesome morning. No matter what you are going through God gave you another day to live, love, laugh, and be better than you were yesterday!
If you have hate towards someone and you refuse to forgive them, you lot will be sealed with God. If you are unwilling to forgive he will not forgive you of your sins.
If you want to live the best life possible, forgive, move on, and stop living in the past. Your hate affects everyone around you.
Have a wonderful Thursday and take the time to make someone's day!

Update on Shawn
Shawn’s grades are rising, and we are working on getting him all the help he needs.
It is a fine balance between doing right and wrong with kids, and I have to learn to choose my battles.
The other day in the shop Shawn squirted me with a water gun and then it was on like Donkey Kong. I have never seen him laugh so hard and have so much fun.
I want to create a lot of beautiful memories for Shawn.
Update on his mother. She is still on the breathing tube, and I found out that her liver is gone, and will need a liver transplant. Keep her in your prayers. Please keep Shawn in your prayers and ask God to guide me through this rough water.
To all you great parents out there you are my heroes and have tons of respect for you and what you do for your children.
Love David A2J
Shawn was enrolled in Mathnasium, and he is doing really well. We had the first of two assessment tests on Friday by Izora Elaine educational school.
Shawn's mother is in the ICU so please keep her in your prayers. She is not doing well, and I think it is affecting Shawn.
This poor kid could use a break. I do not know how parents do what they do and do not understand how the average family provides the best for their children in this economy.
259 is not working for Shawn so I have to find the best place for him to get taught where he is right now. Not where all the kids are at.
Shawn has a lot of needs, and many are beyond my expertise. The crazy thing is when you factor in his testing, tutoring, and finding a school that can help him get caught it equals a lot of money!
Good parents are my heroes!
Love David A2J
Good morning if you are reading these words you are blessed this morning. You get another day to love, laugh, live, and spread joy!
Do not waste this moment being a sad sack, be the light of joy and love everyone you meet.

My day started off early. I went to see a friend that lost his child and wife. I got home around 3:30 am and then went to meet my friends for coffee.
I got back to the office and the school called and told me that my little buddy had been expelled for stealing money from another student.
Shawn is so far behind that he can’t afford to be missing school.
I am looking at an alternative school for him to go to that will take into consideration where is learning level is at and work to get him caught up.
He is very smart but for some reason, he is not doing well in school.
I am trying to peel back the layers of this young man and see why he does what he does.
I do not think we can help him without getting to the root cause of his behavior issues. Most people who know him say he is a bad kid, but I believe that he is a great kid with trauma that is holding him back from being the very best he can be.
I have noticed that alternative schools are not cheap but very necessary for the advancement of our children.
Here is a scary statistic for you to chew on. Only 35 % of sixth graders are proficient in reading. 40% of eighth graders are proficient in math. These numbers are for the United States. Very Sad.

I am wondering if Shawn ( the little guy I took in) can catch up.
Took Shawn to get him tested to see where he was performing. He came back in the first grade.
He has been held back twice and if nothing is done soon he will be another child left behind to be a burden on society.
He was enrolled in Mathnasium for 10 successions a month.
This solves one problem but he still needs help with reading, writing, and spelling.
If you know of any tutors or places to take a 12 year old please let me know.

My brother Tony has been gone almost a year and not one day has passed that I have not missed him.
I have been blessed to have him live with me for so many years.
He was my security blanket and always had my back no matter what was going on.
Many of you know that he had a demon that he fought for most of his adult life.
Those who met him would always say he was the kindest person they ever met.
Life is not the same without you and I have lost my drive since you have been gone.
I would always tell him he would have to carry on when I was gone and in the end, I have to carry on without him.
I have had so many people say to me why he didn't stop drinking and I would get so mad because I do not know anyone that would choose to be an alcoholic or suffer from addiction.
My brother was an awesome man that I wanted to be like every day of my life. He loved me when I did not love myself.
In his toughest fight, he was always there to cheer me on.
I hope and pray you thought I was half as good a brother to you as you were to me.
Here is what I ask of the people who have a loved one fighting addiction...never, never, never give up on them.

I first want to give all the glory to God because I do not have the power to do anything without Him. All the credit needs to go to the young man, his mother, his girlfriend, his principal, and all the great teachers at his school.
I know that if you ask God to use you to make a difference in this world He will.
I received this wonderful letter this morning and WOW did it warm my heart and put a huge smile on my face.

Dear One Spark,
I am writing to tell you what One Spark has done for me over the last seven years.
I am from a small school in Texas, and I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Hill speak to our school about making positive choices and about kindness.
I do have to admit at the time it was not my pleasure to hear him because I was wasting my life drinking and doing drugs.
I have to admit I thought someone had told Mr. Hill all about me because everything he was saying seemed to be directed right at me.
I did not want to hear what he had to say so I started talking and making jokes and making everyone around me laugh and that is when Mr. Hill called me down front to finish his speech and to make the rest of the school laugh. I told him that I did not know much about what he was talking about. Mr. Hill reminded me about his rule. NO TALKING WHEN HE WAS TALKING! I told him I now understood and asked if I could go back to my seat, and he told me he needed my help.
For the next two hours, I helped Mr. Hill with whatever he needed help with during his speech. When Mr. Hill was done, he asked me for a minute to speak with me. He told me that he understood that something was going on in my life because he used to act just like me in school until one day a teacher showed him love and kindness.
He asked me why I did what I did and at first, I told him I did not know and that is when he told me that was a load of panther p**s, and I should be the man I was created to be and stop hiding behind drugs and alcohol.
He asked me if I would call my parents and see if they would join us for dinner. I told him my father passed away last year from a drug overdose and my mother would be working. Mr. Hill asked for my mother’s number, and he gave her a call and she agreed to take off work to join us for dinner. It was years later that my mother told me that Mr. Hill paid her what she would have made to go to dinner with us.
Mr. Hill spoke to many of the kids in my school and when he finished, he asked me where was a good place to go eat. I told him about our local steak house, and I called my mother, and she met us.
During the conversation, Mr. Hill asked me a lot of questions and my mother would jump in to answer and Mr. Hill told her to let me answer the questions.
When we were finished my mother told Mr. Hill that I was never in trouble and my grades were always good when my father was alive. She told Mr. Hill that I wanted to please my father so badly, but it never happened.
Mr. Hill drove me to my house and then when I was getting out, Mr. Hill asked me if I was a man or a mouse. I told him I was not a mouse and did not appreciate him thinking I was a mouse. That is when Mr. Hill told me to prove it by getting my grades up and I told him that I could never go to college because my mother would not be able to afford it. Mr. Hill told me that I needed to trust him. He told me that If I got my grades up and did well on my SAT, he would pay for me to go to college.
I had one year to get my grades up and put Mr. Hill to the test. I went to my principal and told her what was going on and she told me that she would get me as much help as possible.
The next day my principal called me into her office and told me all my teachers were willing to help me if I was willing to help myself. I told her I was 1000% committed to the task at hand. She said that If I was that committed then I should have no problem quitting drinking and using drugs. I told her I was done.
Mr. Hill would call me every day to challenge me by telling me there was a young man just like me who stopped doing drugs and drinking. He went on to tell me that he is smashing his grades out of the ballpark.
Mr. Hill would tell me about this other student every day and it lit a fire in me that I never knew could be lit.
I was getting help from so many people in our school from teachers to students. There was a young lady who was the smartest girl in our school who told me she would help me if I put in the work. I have to admit that she was not only the smartest girl in our school, but she was also the prettiest. I worked so hard at my grades just to be able to spend time with her.
Mr. Hill asked me for her number so he could find out how I was doing. Mr. Hill told her about the other student who was doing so well, and she needed to make sure I was working hard because the student who did the best was going to get a special gift. She said yes and the gift was getting college paid for and that is when he told her no something bigger than just college.
Every day they both would tell me about the other student and one day my girlfriend (tutor) told me that the other student called her and told her that she should dump me and go out with a winner and that was not going to be your boyfriend. This made me so mad that I worked 1000 times harder.
I got my grade up to all A’S and then I started to study for the SAT test, I was feeling really good until Mr. Hill told me that the other student had taken a practice SAT test and did really well and this was the first time Mr. Hill told me that I was going to beat his score. I said you think I am going to win this contest and that is when Mr. Hill told me that he had bet the other student's father a large sum of money that I would not only beat his son, but I was going to beat his ACT score by at least 100 points.
The test day was finally here, and I went into the test not wanting to let all the people that had helped me get ready for the test down. When I was taking the test, it seemed as though the test was easy and when I finished, I thought to myself you can’t be done yet, but I was and I went up and handed in my test and the proctor told me good luck and I told him what Mr. Hill always told me, if you work hard enough you will never have to rely on good luck.
The test score came back, and I went to my principal and asked if she would invite all the people who helped me last year to a party to reveal my test score. I called Mr. Hill and told him we were having a score reveal party and asked him if he would come to the party and if he would not miss this if his life depended on it. I asked Mr. Hill if he knew the other students' scores and he said yes.
The party day was here and when everyone got seated, I asked Mr. Hill to open the results that my principal had put in an envelope that she had downloaded from the website. Mr. Hill told me to have my mother open it with my girlfriend. They both came up and opened up the envelope and they both started to cry, and my heart sank. Then they both screamed out 1597. I had forgotten what was possible and that is when my principal walked up and explained that I had scored a 1597 out of 1600.
I could not believe that I did so well and then I asked Mr. Hill what the other student scored, and he and my girlfriend told me that there was never anyone else, it was me competing against me. I then asked if I was really going to get my education paid for and Mr. Hill told me yes then he asked everyone to come outside and that is when he showed me a 1970 Chevy truck and he told me it was mine.
I got offers to go to so many schools, but I decided to go to MIT and study engineering.
I know I have gone on and on, but I wanted to tell you this story before one day it is too late to let the world know what Dave Hill did for me.
I graduated without a dime of debt and went to work for a wonderful company doing things I can’t tell you about and none of this would have happened to me without my girlfriend, who is now my wife, Dave Hill, and all the wonderful people in my school.
I started a local chapter of One Spark in my town and have about 100 people that get together to do Sparks (acts of kindness) and we feed the homeless one time a month.
P.S. My wife and I are expecting our first child, and it is a boy. His name will be David Lee Johnson. I hope my son will grow up to be like the man that I have come to know as my DAD.
Thank you again for the help that was poured into me when I was a hot mess express.
Love Your favorite son.
