Good evening SPARK friends and families!!
We will be going to the Science Museum in Oklahoma City. We will leave at 8:30 am and are scheduled to return at 6:00 pm. We will have sack lunches with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for kiddos that need them. I recommend sending a water bottle with your student.

Hello SPARK friends going to Greenbush tomorrow!!
Just a reminder to be at HMS at 5:30am in the morning. We will be on the east side by the tennis courts. You will need to check in with staff to ensure we have everything you need. If you have any questions please call the SPARK phone at 680-5196.

We stopped in Salina to make sure everyone had something to drink. We are on the road again.

We’re headed to Hays!! I am so excited for the kids to see the Sternberg Museum. 🦕 🦖

Holy Moly! I cannot belive the week is almost over. We have been so busy and having great fun! I apologize for my lack of posts this week, I will get some highlights together for the week. 😁

We are going on our second field trip of the summer tomorrow, June 13th. We are going to The Sternburg Museum in Hays, KS. If you haven't been there, it is AMAZING!!
We will be leaving at 8:30 in the morning and we are scheduled to return at 6:00 pm. I will post updates here if it looks like we are not going to be on schedule. They do have a gift shop if your student would like to bring money, but this is NOT required.
I HIGHLY recommend students bring a water bottle. We will have sack lunches available if students fo not bring their own.

Our first field trip is tomorrow, June 6th!
We will be going to Bowlero. We will return to HMS for lunch and then to the Haysville Pool until 3. Students may bring money for snacks, but this is not required.
Bus riders will walk back to HMS to ride home. Students may stay at the pool, but SPARK staff will leave at 3.

Day 2 in the books. We are so excited for our great attendance and participation! It is reward worthy!!😁
Some of our fun activities today…volunteer gardening in the historic district, fishing at Riggs, yard games, kickball league, design your own tennis shoes, trashketball, and cake mix waffles just to name a few. My goodness this staff has so many fun ideas. What a great way to spend the summer.☀️ We will work to get more pictures during activities!!☺️

We had a great first day!! We got all the orientation stuff out of the way and it is all fun and games now!
We have a large group of kiddos that signed up to volunteer tomorrow, gardening in the historic district. I am so glad that they want to be helpful citizens so they can be proud of their community. Stay tuned for photos and updates about all the fun we are having!🙌🏼

Enrollment has opened for the 2024 summer program. Information was mailed out for eligible students. If you have any questions, please call 680-5196 or email [email protected]

The safety and security of our staff and students is our utmost priority. Due to the recent inclement weather and the risk it presents to our students and staff, all Haysville schools will be closed on Friday, January 5. All school-related activities scheduled for this evening, are canceled. This includes the use of any individual facilities by outside groups. You will be notified of the new time and date of any rescheduled event.
