Meeting and serving this gentleman yesterday was a delightful experience. He radiated joy and laughter, although he adopted a serious expression for the photograph.

A heartfelt thank you to the generous donor who sent us 100 Bibles this morning! Every week, we have the chance to share Jesus with our clients, and we ensure that Bibles are available for those who wish to have one.

Tell us about yourself.... "I like reading devotional books, walking, hiking, traveling - anything to do with God's beautiful creation. My husband Don volunteers at HHH also. We have 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I used to own a re-sale shop with my daughter for over 20 years, before that I used to clean houses- that is why I love what I do at HHH. I have been volunteering here at HHH for 10 years! I am the person who sorts all the donations for the Gift Shop, Thrift Store and the housewares for the clients that we serve. My desire for my latter years is to work for our Lord, to help, serve and use my spiritual gifts."

Tell us about a time that was especially meaningful for you as a volunteer at HHH... "When I was grieving the loss of my son, Rosalie at the Gift Shop called me often to check up on me. I so appreciated that; she showed me that she cared. Jackie Minnis lets me do my job and makes me laugh and shows his appreciation for what I do."

How has volunteering at HHH had an impact on you? ... "It has given me a purpose for my life and keeps me going. Everyone is like a family to me."

If you could encourage someone else to volunteer at HHH, what would you say? "Figure out what your spiritual gifts are and start using them. God will bless you with blessings overflowing."

Refreshed from a relaxing weekend, we haven't skipped a beat! Our dedicated staff and volunteers are busy preparing to assist our clients this Saturday at our clothing warehouse. The doors will open from 9 am to 11am, and no appointment is necessary to receive clothing assistance. Please call us at 316-838-8528 for questions or more information.

On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, we assist clients with their furniture needs by appointment. Prior to the distribution, we spend time getting to know our clients, informing them about community resources available, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, and offering prayer. On average, we provide furniture to 20 families each week!

Our closure will begin this Saturday, August 31st, and extend through Monday, September 2nd.
This includes the Heavenly Treasures Gift Shop as well.

Every Saturday morning, our committed team of volunteers assists families with loading furniture and housewares into their vehicles and accepts donations at our warehouse door. We affectionately call them the "warehouse blues."
This past Saturday, we provided clothing or furniture to 55 families!

Brother Joe was the visionary for the ministry of His Helping Hands. He was always very passionate about helping people and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. He would often ask “how many salvations were there last week?” Well, Brother Joe, as of today 5,207 people have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior since the beginning of HHH! To God be the Glory! Thank you for touching many lives with the love of Jesus and for the encouragement you have provided for the ministry of His Helping Hands. We love you and we will miss you, but we know you are now rejoicing in the presence of the Lord with many of those who were impacted through your ministry!

A single parent raising three children faces many obstacles. Today, we joined forces with the WPD's Homeless Outreach Team (H.O.T.) to provide furniture for a family in need. It is through such partnerships and the generosity of our donors that we can offer assistance, in the name of Jesus, to those who need it most.
