Wanted entry level body to experienced technician for work in a family-owned Wichita auto body repair shop. Position is full time M-F with potential overtime as needed. The candidate must have reliable transportation and a valid KS drivers license. Duties will include pre and post cleaning of customer vehicles, vehicle tear down for inspection, assisting in the shop as needed and test-driving customer vehicles to validate repairs. Paint shop experience is a plus including polish and buff and applying primer. Candidate will also be responsible for checking in parts deliveries to ensure orders are correct and undamaged. The position requires applicants to be reliable and punctual when arriving for their shift. Candidate must have a basic set of tools and a primer gun if assisting in the paint shop. Paid vacation and sick leave after one year. Compensation negotiable based on experience.

We will be open on July 4th and closed on July 5th to give staff a 3 day holiday weekend.

We get asked almost everyday about this. The truth is that without seeing the vehicle in person we are just guessing.

I get messages every day from people asking “how much would it cost to fix…” and my answer is always the same. It’s impossible to give a accurate quote without seeing the car in person. 95% of the time it will need disassembled to find any additional damage, broken clips, 1 time use parts etc. Why is that you ask? Well every vehicle and every accident is different. A new headlight on one car might cost $300 and it could be $3,000 on another car. A new fender might be $200 on one car and $800 on another. Besides all of that, the process to write a accurate estimate on a car is time consuming, it’s not as simple as just looking at the car and giving a number. So no I can’t even guess what it would cost to fix your car.

This GMC Yukon is in the shop to get a rusted quarter panel replaced. We get a lot of questions about rust the most common being can I just cut out the rusted part and weld in a patch? What you can't see until the vehicle it cut open though is the rust that is hidden inside is almost always far more extensive than what you can see from the outside. The only way to stop rust completely is replacing the affected panels.

This Chevy Silverado was hit in the fender and front door. We repaired it back to it's pre accident condition and got the owner back on the road.

Thinking of purchasing a vehicle with a rebuilt title? Not all rebuilt title cars are bad if repaired properly, but we have seen an increasing number that have only been repaired cosmetically while leaving hidden structural damage buried under body filler and low quality paint. A rebuilt title simply means that at some point the vehicle was damaged and proper repairs would have cost more than the value of the vehicle. These cars are deemed a total loss by insurance and are then sold at auction. Unscrupulous sellers buy them and doctor them up to look nice then post them for sale to buyers that are unaware of the true condition. Here are a few examples that have rolled into our shop.
